I also meant to edit the 5 per team part, it will be equal sized teams and if it is not a factor of 3 I three I will put the extras as farmers, but everyone will know how many RRO and SCM there are.

So as many as want to can play.

But wouldn't any extra 'farmers' throw the balance off? Mafia's chance of hitting a mason goes down with each extra farmer added.

15 would be balanced
16 would be unbalanced in town's favor
17 would be REALLY unbalanced in town's favor
18 would be balanced again
etc.
 
^^^ Maybe if you made it so that any 'extra' farmers were NOT immune to the mafia's hits it would be more balanced....only the 1 or 2 extras, though. So the extra farmers would still be non-communicators, just not immune to hits.

Just a thought.
 
I might make them immigrant workers.

Maybe both the immigrant worker and the RRO die when a hit is placed.

Let's just see who all signs up.
 
If you make it so the extra players can get hit it tips the scales to the Mafia's benefit. I don't really see a problem with the Town getting a little more insurance from the hits. Maybe if it is 1 extra they can't be hit...two extra players and only 1 of the 2 extra players can be hit.
