Mafia 66: Farmers versus the Railroad - the play

Jpap, the reason I'm not voting Noods and I'm voting Coler is I want to see the interactions between Noods and her other teammates. See if they defend her or cut her loose. From Coler's reaction, I'd be willing to bet they're teammates. From Noods' reaction, I'm willing to bet she's scum. I'm quite comfortable with my vote on Coler at this point.

I know you pointed out Kash's inconsistencies, but I'm not getting a scummy feeling from her. What she posted goes along with my immigrant worker theory.

I also don't like the early train that has formed...iirc, that's 4 votes on Kash right now. 2 on Coler. 1 on OD.

I understand that but I think Kashta twisted the situations around and tried to frame Noods for something that is definitely NOT a scumtell by the definition she is using...it happened once and the reasoning for suspecting here were completely different. She tried to make it seem like her posting before the game started was why she was deemed scummy when that's barely even scratching the surface as to why she got called out. I don't blame Noods for reacting that way at all.

This worries me...a lot. Kash is obviously not playing consistently and has contradicted herself yet you aren't getting a scummy feeling just because your theory matches up with her "logic"...would it be too ironic for me to call you and Kash teammates?

I was going to vote Kash earlier but that train made me hesitate. After her last post I couldn't not vote.

You could call us teammates but you would be wrong...at least in the sense that we are not communicating outside of the thread. At this point she may be a fellow teammate in the sense that I think she is trying to find railroad scum, as am I.

Do you think she would push a case so hard and so early in the game if she were scum? That just doesn't make sense to me. Usually it's the innocents who push the cases in the beginning. Scum sit back and laugh...

That's a useless question as really, there's no other way to answer that other than it's possible both ways. Scum can be as gutsy as they'd like to be because that's always an option for a response...would I be THAT obvious? It's a WIFOM situation.

Hey, the day ends when? I cant remember sorry...

Anyway, So far Noods pre-posted, Kash jumped on it, and everyone else jumped on that and Cole defending Noods. Personally i think Kashta jumped on it too soon, thats why im voting for her.

*long post alert... jb's back* =)

Ok... my schedule's all f'd up this week, so my brain's a little fried, but I've gone and skimmed through the thread and here's what sticks out at first glance:
I don't like the way people were so quick to defend Noods. I would expect if she were innocent that she would have blown off Kash's accusation as early day 1 bs. Instead, Coler rushed in to her defense and Noods went all :nilly: . (Seems like when she's scum and a little pressure is on her she goes :nilly: quickly.) From what I can discern, this scenario happened previously, when Kash was scum. I wasn't around for that but if Coler saved Kash from a slip up similar to what Noods posted, it's not unreasonable to think it could happen again.

Maybe Coler could explain why he was so quick to jump to Noods defense and to throw a vote on Kash...

Yes, they could both be innocent, obviously that's happened many a time on day one. I just don't think it's happening this time from the reactions Kash has gotten. I think she was on a fishing expedition and hooked a couple.
Labby, I like your thinking and in a later post (that I don't think I pulled) you pretty well spelled out what I was thinking for the Kash/Noods craziness. I stick to what I said before: I think they're both innocent. And I think that the odds are strongly in that favor. I don't like that you seem soooooooo convinced. It's still day one. Take a breath. To be that convinced of anything implies to me that you know something I don't. That gives me that queasy feeling in my chest that I associate with scum. Add to that the fact that you seem pretty composed and not all :nilly:, That's also an indicator that you're communicating. Put the two together and we'll call it a healthy suspicion.
I think it's funny how you like to think I go :nilly: only when i'm scum....I honestly think I do it everytime I get accused of something regardless of my role... I am by nature an argumentative person. That's why I love this game! LOL
My meeting just got over and i only have a few minutes to wrap things up on my desk. Hopefully I can get on my PC tonite....
Noods, I still don't know what to think. You haven't played in a while, so I can see being excited and jumping the gun. I can also see that as being a reason to be a little extra defensive and jumpy. I'm willing to give Noods the benefit of the doubt... for now. Chalk it up to another tick on the never expiring Noods card.
I never said you get :nilly: ONLY when scum...I said you get that way quicker when scum. You can't get much quicker than page 1 on day 1 to go :nilly:. I think you regrouped with support of your scummates in the scumden and have now settled down. Did Coler talk you through it?
Again, Labby; you just seem a little too sure to me.

Kash, I want to clarify a few things based on the game where you posted early, which I found (#51).

1) You brought attention to your post first and foremost by EDITING it. That is why Mad first jumped on you right away, not because you posted early.

2) Not everyone even received PMs that game, in fact, only the PRs did. JL didn't make it known until his "game on" post that innocents wouldn't get a PM. So there was little doubt that you were not just an innocent, especially when you started talking about other people getting PMs. That is how posting early got thrown into the mix.

3) In this game you posted as an explanation to Noods that you, as scum, posted in the game thread before going to your scum den because you were excited and not thinking clearly or something to that effect. While that may be true it is also important to note that when you tried to use the fact that you wouldn't do that as your defense Mad caught you lying because you posted in the game thread first in the previous game when you two were scum. So really, it was not the action itself that was scummy but that you lied about what you would have done and were caught.

I understand putting pressure on people to gauge a reaction, but I still hate when people use that as a reason to then back off and retract a vote. It's just another thing to use as a fall back when you know your case is weak and people start to question it, which is was starting to happen. By the way you insisted that posting early was a proven scumtell, even though the situations are clearly different, speaks to the fact that at some point you legitimately believed Noods was acting scummy, or tried to portray her as doing so. That's the impression that I get so take that as you will. You also said a couple times that your vote was "random." At the risk of getting into a lovely semantics argument, I think you can agree that your vote was not at all random and had some sort of reasoning behind it...however misguided.

If I misread or misinterpreted any of this, please let me know since sometimes reading things from an outside view doesn't exactly replicate what was going on during the game.
Jpap, you make some solid points here, and dang I've gotta salute your moxy to go back and look up the old game. But I still have to give Kash the benefit of the doubt. I find it hard to believe she would have come out so strong so quick if she were RR scum.

It seems like an appropriate time to place a vote, so I've got to go with my top suspect... I vote to lynch Labby. This is highly subject to change, but for now I like it.

Also, just for S&G I'll throw out there that for right now I'm leaning jpap, kash and coler innocent for now. I'm going to go back and read through a little more thoroughly...

I finally got my internet working, but I am still fighting an upper respitory infection and cranky as all get out!
.....I am trying really hard to leave this alone but the fact that Kashta believes she has made a concrete case for me being scum based on something she did once is ridiculous! "OMG, did you see what so-and-so did? I did that once when I was scum, so they MUST be too!"

Well im not sure that Kashta should be in the clear either, she really seemed to target noods. Just seems kind of weird...

Might want to check JL's posts first...

LOL, sorry, ima need to get me grade up! Study Study Study Study...sleep, sleep, sleeeeeeep, zzzlol.

But really, ima need to get my dad to let me on the INTERNET. I may not be here for the lynch,so if anyone wants me to change my lynch you will need post it b4 4:00.

So you don't think that it's possible I have improved my game play as to not be all :nilly:? I promise you I am not communicating. Kash's actions and posts are consistent with my theory #5. Everything makes sense. Kash exploiting Noods scummy flub, Coler rushing to Noods defense, etc. When things make sense I go with them.
