Hello,
I have a 20 gal high shrimp tank that i wanted to do planted. Well one thing led to another and now it just looks overgrown and icky.

any ideas for changes?

Some hardscaping would look good. You have the height to add some nice wood or stone pieces. You can tie on moss to either.

For wood, you can do the large "stump" type or downward multi-branching roots.

:iagree: Maybe a broadleaved plant for different shape, anubias tied to wood? Plus a little trim on the left front. I bet your shrimp love their tank!

I have an anubias nana, and yeah i gotta trim down that underwater bush of a plant...The shrimp love it it was a tank for baby balloon mollies until i started getting rid of them at the LFS. Now there is one left, and thats because i cannot catch him:angryfire:

Thanks fishycat i didnt think of doing driftwood branches , id love to try a stump too and cover it in moss i have java and xmas tree moss in the tank

ya nice plants,,, needs little glass scrub plants trimmed and some dritwood,, stone pile,, etc,,, and your set...

nice plants look good,,, growing nice

You're welcome! Xmas moss would rock on some wood! The tall stuff should definity be kept at the back... Moss rocks with the java and netting in the foreground would be nice, especially with a stump. :)
