JB, can I have some of whatever it is you're smoking? You're stretching things way far there. If scum investigates him, finds him as innocent, they'll simply hit him. And why are you so stuck on defending him? Is he a teammate of yours?

This seems to be the other part of the argument. I'll wait for responses from Jpap and Labby, but I'm trying to put out there what I see. Are both of you really unwilling to give the little dude the benefit of the doubt that he misread? LOL. I get the argument that he slipped up and recanted, but I find it hard to believe he would have come to that insight in the space of a minute. I can however, believe that he reread and corrected his syntax.
It bugs me that you two are so focused on this. I don't think it's a scumtell; at least not yet, but jeez... we have way more than a real life full day left, and y'all are coming out like a crackhead on payday. Love the enthusiasm though! :thm:
We must be reading two different game threads. I've seen nothing but scumminess and retractions in FF's post. I was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt, but he did nothing to dissuade me from the idea he was scum. Did you send him a PM to tell him to shut up since he couldn't reach your scumden? You say I'm coming at him like a crackhead on payday...that's a complete exaggeration, I've simply done a little bush kicking around him.
You haven't answered my questions:
How is asking mafia to investigate you NOT scummy?
Why are you defending him so much?
I realize that my last few posts are going to make me a suspect, especially after last game. And I'm fine with that... fire away. But I agree with what nearly everyone else has said. FF is distracting and one of the loudest voices in the town. It seems to me like we're getting caught up in that. And after last game, anyone who was a townie will have a predisposition toward voting for him. And even after he's gone, at this point, we will have learned nothing about the people who voted for him.
Kash and DD have both mentioned it, and I'll ring this bell too. Vote for FF if you want... but keep digging and we should all be casting a broad net at this point.

If you like camel lights, you're in luck! If scum investigates him and then hits him, then let them waste their hit on him, and let's keep looking for a scum candidate with less of a chance of helping the town. I'm not saying he's not scum, I'm saying you seem to have a little tunnel vision going on and it bothers me.

I'm not defending him. I'm calling you and pappy out for a) really early votes and b)an insistence that you know what is going on in the mind of FF... which is surely someplace akin to alice in wonderland meets nightmare on elm st.and c) being short sigted.
Call it defending if you want. What I'm really doing is pointing out that we've interpreted his sentence differently. And I think that the evidence you're using for an incredibly strong "first 15 hours of the game" vote. Especially after saying you don't like early votes. I realize that there was some time between the statement and the vote, but that doesn't prove that you haven't planned it to set him up. It's also entirely possible that you're an innocent beset by an instinct to lynch him after last game and finding scumminess in his posts. It's too early to be sure. Look how sure you were about Coler last game. At about this same point in time.
Distracting and loud would not earn my vote...scummy does. And I am looking at others, you're right up there JB.
Here's the post in question... here's my interpretation...
FF thinks you seem to know he is not communicating. Only a member of a communicating team could have that information. Even if he's not communicating, he could be the SB. (I admit there's some flawed logic here, but I'm just the interpreter). Here's the important part: If the mafia investigate him they will vote to lynch him, then we will know they are mafia. Again, flawed logic, but giving a totally different message than your interpretation.
I took about 3 minutes reading and rereading this to figure it out. I think you read it for what you wanted it to say. I don't think that necessarily speaks to your alignment, but as I've said before... there is no way (IMO) to be so sure of anything this early.
That's funny you call me and jpap out when Dag and DD had the first 2 votes on FF. I don't see you addressing them at all...
How often is day 1 evidence very strong? It's generally not. That's why when someone posts something scummy, then keeps up with scummy and nonsensical posts I'll be looking into them with more scrutiny. You're the one who can't seem to get past FF. I'm plenty willing to look other directions. My vote will be on who I think is most scummy...period. Are you trying to give me reasons to vote for you?
And I would never pretend to understand what goes on in the mind of FF... :laugh: You suggest I give him the benefit of the doubt...how many times should I do so? I did last game and it bit me in the ***. Not going to make that mistake again. If he hadn't made scummy posts I would not be voting for him.
