Ok, this is interesting, yesterday Ice made his statement about vet vs newb.
No one called him on it other than to say that it might be true but, we weren't willing to risk it.
Today, we have three jumping on him for it. LR, Kashta, and bio.
Let me ask the three of you this, do you really think scum would volunteer to be lynched?
Think about it, it is day one and we never have much to go on in day one.
We historically end up lynching townies for that reason.
These three votes have caused me to think maybe we have a female scum team this time around.
The scum have an advantage as they know already who is innocent. Now suppose, (and I don't intend for this to be a defense of anyone I am just trying to put it out there for thought because I don't know either.) that FF is innocent as he claims.
The scum are willing to let him be lynched as it is another innocent gone. Ice makes his statement, and after a day of discussion in the scum den they decide that they can use that statement to lynch a more formidable foe than what is already on the chopping block and not look scummy doing it.
I may have made a target of myself with this theory but so be it. I want to get it out there and give them a chance to respond. Meanwhile I will think on it and if I see reason to I will move my vote.
A bit of a reach there, Wizard... IMO. But I'll respond.
I was fairly busy with the thread yesterday and haven't been through this as much today... I do what I can with the time I get for this. I did read through what was going on and had been thinking about Ice's suggestion since last night.
I looked over the thread again, wrote up my post (voting Ice), and as I normally do, I refreshed the page to see what else had posted before submitting my post. That's when I saw Lab's post where she also voted Ice for pretty much the same reason I was going to. I added an introductory sentence to my previewed post then.... in agreement with Lab Rat's conclusion.... and posted it. I didn't feel it was necessary to change anything just because it seems Lab and I view Ice's position the same way. I saw later that Bio came along and followed to place a 3rd vote against Ice.
Your theory that the 3 of us are in cahoots because the votes happened to come along at the same time is incorrect. Given the timing, however, and placement of our posts, I say it's still a fair question. I'd like to hear responses as well from both Lab Rat and Bio.
I'll also ask you (Wizard) to consider this: If the three of us were communicating scummates plotting away... (1) do you really think it'd take either Lab Rat or myself a whole evening and most of today for us to deliberate about Ice before voting him?, (2) if we were planning this as scummates, why on earth would we foolishly post the same thing at the same time?, and (3) are you overlooking the point that other seemingly rational (?) players have voiced similar suspicions about Ice for what he posted?
As I stated, I can see why the timing might raise this question... but think it's a bit much to accuse 3 different players of being mafia teammates over that alone. If you have other reasons for suspicion, please point them out.
That said, I wonder a bit about Biohazard jumping in with her vote the way she did and when she did because it possibly sounded to her like a safe place to be at that point in the thread. I'm a little suspicious about Bio already because prior to her vote, she'd made 4 totally useless posts plus only 1 more where she actually made a point.
Your excuse last time was that you were too busy watching your molly in the net, and you were scum.
A good point to make when this was posted, but her participation is still too low for us to tell much about Bio in this game.
Lab (so far) seems to be trying to help the town as far as I can tell (so far). In her case, I take that with a grain of salt.
