Mafia #69: Ghost Hunters Game Thread

Because lynching a mafia and being the vote that did it makes one almost 100% innoncent. We used to talk about it in earlier games, but I have done it and it has worked out, it has also failed.

I am sure if I was the kill vote on a mafia player and then we find that the person I "saved" was innocent, you would have me innocent more often than not.

The mafia want players like FF around. They are a total distraction.

That maybe so why why weaken your team when you don't need to at that point?

LG, you point out that Lab really slipped as your reason for voting. When Lab made her post yesterday, you commented on it right before nightfall. You said:

Mad you changed last night why the sudden change of mind today, or at least why no placement of vote on Lab?

I'm keeping my vote as is. Hopefully Lab has a better day and can make a better explanation for it. Maybe if she can throw out a better suspect list and why I could believe I just read that wrong or it was a rushed post that just didn't come out right. But for now I have to take it at what it is.

JL you still have no thoughts on Labs post?

What do others think about Labs post?

JRRS vote and run without explanation is highly suspect. I'd love to know why he thinks she is scummy enough to vote out of the blue.






If players don't start posting I'm thinking we should just vote them off or maybe we can have a random act take them out. I've already decided that if certain players join the next game I'm going to sit it out. Its no fun trying to figure out if someone is evil or good when there is nothing to compare it to and then taking them out and finding out they were innocent after all. It ruins the game, they might as well not be playing,all they do is screw up the odds of number of mafia vs innocents and make it easier for the mafia to win.

I will say that things don't look good for you labby, I am not really sure what happened with you last night with that post but was willing to give the benefit of the doubt, waiting for your explanation but the explanation you gave isn't really sitting well with me... Jrr, still haven't seen anything worth anything from you except for your vote on LG...

but that brings me to a point on LG...

G, you asked Labby if she really said she knew Ice was innocent as if this was something you considered to be an absolute evil thing, yet you didn't change up your vote for her. I am curious as to why you got so excited about it, yet didn't switch your vote to her.... I dunno, just doesn't seem very "G" to me.

ILM... no you did not just pop in and ask if the game was still on. The point of the game is for you to interact with your own thoughts and theories of who you might perceive to be evil.

one thing I have been thinking about is the whole hit on Kash. Some people are saying that they would consider that JL is evil and possibly the lead evil but then they reconsider that thought because they don't think JL would be so careless... really? What about JL depending on that majority thought and picking Kash because of it... just somethng to be consider. If there's anything I've learned from these games, it's that people are squeaky and you cannot say "so and so wouldn't have done that"...

No sudden change of mind. IMO Lab's post made her the best candidate for a D1 vote...I definitely liked the Lab case better than my case on Bio.

Now that it's D2, though, I'd rather do some scum hunting, as opposed to have everyone pile on and only throw rocks in Lab's direction.

Lets do this Lab. I'll keep my vote on you and you keep yours on me but we call a 24 hr truce and look at others.

Give me a suspect list that has nothing to do with me and I'll do one that has nothing to do with you. That means no linking players as scummy with regards to me and I'll do the same in regards to you.

In no order and without Lab as a suspect ( but she is)


JL- the early vote on FF was fine but keeping it there because of FFs posting is suspect to me. If I had taken a poll in the signup thread if FF would post scummy on Day 1 everyone would have agreed.

CCM- voted FF even though his posting made it sound as if he thought JL was more scummy then moved his vote to JL late in the day to a place it didn't matter.

Dawg- not as certain but seems to be not as active as usual. More of a gut feeling at this time.

Bio- Her vote switch from a lynch candidate to a player that had zero chance of being lynched even if Bio made a great case is very suspect.

JRR- votes without reasons

Rich- also a gut feeling. Rich is hard to read no matter the role. He stays pretty non committal in his posts. They usually consist of seeing both sides.


Everyone one else either hasn't posted enough to make a choice or I'm leaning towards innocent at this time.
