Kind of flimsy reasoning there HN. I half expected the vote from Ogre when I kicked at the bush to gauge his reaction.

Tell me, now that you have drawn other attention for your one post vote then disappear, have you anything solid to base it on?

Or do you typically just throw random votes around?

There are a lot of players I haven't played before so I will be kicking your bushes to gauge your reactions and get a feel for how you play as the game progresses.

Hopefully I will step on some toes and root out sum scum.

OMG, you guys does no one see GAME 63 (1963) THE TOWN IS SPLIT (50/50 game) IT IS COLDER THEN USUAL...(Ice was the mod)?!?!?! I'm pretty sure this "day" is based on game 63.

I don't see where you're going with this line of thought, LG. The only thing I can see to link the two games is that Pap said it was 1963. I don't think it makes enough of a difference to go back and look, but was there a game set in 1963? Besides that, despite the game the day is based on, the number of scum is set... we're still only looking for 3. Or did I miss something?

What else are you seeing that makes you think it's that game in particular? And why does it matter? It seems to me our job is to find scum, not figure out where/when we are.

Agree with JB the only real connection would be the year 1963 = Game 63. Since it's a 50/50 game, that makes sense too that we're split (at least as it relates to mafia vs. physicist powers on this day).

And so help me, Pappy, if your bone-head clue dropping gets any more obscure than THAT with these past game references, I am going to banish you... then beat you over the head with the :banhim: sign.

@ Lady G... I doubt Ice being the game mod that time has anything to do with the setting being colder than usual. I just don't get that part.

@ Jbradt... I already used the search feature to find threads containing "mafia" and "1963" quickly, but it didn't pull up anything. Our search thing isn't always reliable though, so there still could be an old game out there specifically set in that year. It would just take way too much effort trying to find it some other way.

I disagree with FF and JB here. According to the rules, JPap will be assigning identities/abilities based on previous games. Therefore, it'd be nice to have even a vague idea of what's going on in terms of identities/abilities.

There's certainly no harm in addressing it, and it's probably more helpful than hurtful to the town....assuming we don't get hung up on it to the point of distraction.

If it's all wrong, though, and we don't figure out which game we're in... that should be okay too. I expect we'll find out what we didn't already guess based on nightfall results. Pappy will either tell us or not ahead of time. No big deal, really.... unless we factor too much into this aspect of the format.

IMHO, we have too many posts concerning the debate of which game we are in and not enough trying to kick bushes and root out scum.

Unless I am mistaken rooting out scum would be the most important thing for us to concentrate on.

Oh please... lol. Give me a break, Wizard. That was actual bush kicking? I seriously doubt it. That might have been you taking a poke at someone for a pretty random reason on Day 1 and you might have wondered about any reaction it might get you. But it's hardly rooting out scum whichever way someone responds this early on. More like you trying to appear to be actively pro-town... or maybe offering some sort of justification for taking a more aggressive approach in the game with a lot of players who don't know you or your style.
