Anyone have any experience with them.

Are they basically the same as red cherries but with brownish coloration? Does anyone know of a reputable source for them?

yep basically the same just different color. used to have some but not any more.

I have wild neos as well. I believe this was the wild aka the start of the whole color morph of cherries/yellows/blues etc. All these colors came from the wild neo which had a mutation in color and people developed the many color strains on the market today.

Do not mix colors, or they will interbreed and revert back to the brownish/goldish wild color morph.

yeah, so if you are looking for some wild type you can just mix reds and blues(or green or whatever) together and they will breed themselves into wild type.
