Scarlet skunk cleaner shrimp v. blood red fire shrimp?

THinking about adding a few more inverts to the tank. Which type of 'reef safe' shrimp would you choose?

Fireshrimp! I love mine and would have a tank full of them if i could afford it.

For looks, I'd pick Fire Shrimp. For activity level, I'd pick Skunk Cleaners. Maybe it's just me, but the Fire Shrimp I've seen in tanks are not very active during the daylight hours.

Can the fire shrimp be kept in groups as well? Or are they more solitary?

Fire shrimp are awesome. If you have more than one they will tend to be less shy and more active in my experience.

I loved my skunk cleaner shrimp. He was very active and got along very well with all my fish. He was usually hanging out on the front part of the reef.

I kind of like the peppermint shrimp myself.

I guess everybody just tends to favor from what they have or had themselves.

I have 3 peppermint shrimp and 1 skunk cleaner. My peppermint shrimp (Lysmata boggessi) have developed the nice deep red color with black tails. Beautiful.
