I am ordering shrimp in from a breeder in the EU. Let me say....

I'm not listing prices here. Lets see what response we get. The more we buy, the cheaper it is.

Here's the rub. The current situation is there is no DOA guarantee. The shipping service being used right now is 7-days MAXIMUM to the US. $60.

I'm going to check and see what the next level up for shipping is to get that time down. Those of you who want to purchase, the order will be shipped directly to you. I'm not going to assume that liability. I'm going to get details and post here about how they get through customs, etc.

The seller does use breather bags and heat packs if necessary. YAY!
That alone encourages me. A lot of foreign shippers seal them up in non-breathing plastic bags.

The current box size and shipping rate is up to 30kg (66 lbs). That's why I listed the other shrimp that are fairly common and inexpensive. I recommend using up your box space and weight. Great opportunity to add to your existing gene pools. If you and someone close to you want to combine and get 1 box, great!

The seller is off with his friends this weekend (slacker!), so I won't be able to get more info until we talk at the appointed time on Monday. I do have PICS coming Monday.

I see you're trying to coordinate a group buy from an overseas seller. That makes this more of a 3rd-party sale than anything else, and the actual seller (not the thread OP) is undisclosed. I've added "gauging interest" to your title so this thread can stay in the marketplace.

Actual sale/trade threads must also include location and either shipping or pickup in the title, per our guidelines posted at the top of this section. Set pricing or trade items requested (for FS and FT threads) must be also be included in the first post, as well.

As the OP, however, it would be adviseable for you to continue monitoring any thread you create at least now and then. Members are able and likely to still post in this thread despite you requesting they email you.

As another option available........ since you're not the actual seller, I could move this thread to the General Chit Chat forum for you if you'd prefer that over making this a "gauging interest" marketplace thread. Let me know if you'd rather approach this that way.
