I forgot about sumps. how do they work?

AC + canisters rule!

i use a AC 110 + Fluval FX5 on a 110gal i dont need both but i like to alternate cleanings, and a 1300 gph in a 110 gal cant hurt
the more media you can have the better

agree.

but why would one spend so much on canisters when the AC's are so inexpensive for the performance one gets out of them?

also, I would suggest those with tanks 55g or bigger use 2 filters cuz one filter I don't think can cut it. what clearly is the hold back feature is the one intake tube provided for each filter!

I wonder how many AC'ers use 3 filters in their tanks (not including sponge filters)...

ac70's on sale at bigalsonline.com for only $20. ya gotta be a fan at this price!

I have 2 fluval 404 canisters on my 180 and an AC 30(?) on my 20. I like the AC as a hob, but I much prefer to have canisters.

oh well, to each their own. but ac70's at $20 can not be beat!

since I started up SW 55g tank I am using my 2 new AC70's from bigalsonline.com sale. so far so good.

I like the water displacement from having a canister and hob filter combo...I have all acs (110 and 70s) and they are great but get a bit noisy at time and you have to smack them lol..ill take my ac/fluval combo on all my tanks thank you very much
