4300 Gallon Plywood Build (3600+ Take 2)

 So how long did it take for you to get your 16" test fill Pete? How do you plan on cycling, ammonia, letting food break down or other?

No need to cycle. All I have to do is dump the substrate from the 210 into either the filter or the tank. Haven't decided which, but it will be ready for fish when I add the Pond Prime.

We're aways from fish though. Still have to finish the filters, the ceiling, and the wall painting then caulk up the whole room.

Now that I understand power roof ventilators, I'll be adding an intake vent to the attic above the tank to keep the head of heat down. Also I'm going to be routing vent fans, probably 4 - 6 with 6 inch ducts to the outside. Think dryer vents.

In regard to mini-cycle, NO I won't.

The substrate in the 210 is already supporting the bio load of the fish going into the big tank. It will seed all the other substrate and be well ahead of any additional bio load added.

Unless you can explain otherwise, I will limit myself to saying, you're wrong.

ya there's just to much water in there for a mini-cycle (considering 16" is like 900 gallon) add in the substrate from the other tank he's going to be fine i mean it's not like he's going to be adding a whole lot of fish really really fast.
