4300 Gallon Plywood Build (3600+ Take 2)

A pool liner would degrade very quickly with the bio load. They are not designed to handle organics for long periods of time.

An EDPM pond liner would be a possible solution. That's what I was originally going to go with. It's also my next solution should the additional coating not solve the problem. My liner folding technique along with the tackiness of the Rubber Coat would make for a very snug fit.

I'm not giving up on solely using Rubber Coat for this project. The product is designed to seal way larger containers than my tank.

I plan to flip the french doors to face out as soon as I can get Charles and Ken over at the house at the same time.

Well either way the pond liner sound like a "for-sure" solution. I know when my 15,000 gallon above ground pool leaked after 12 years of chlorine chemicals and algae growth, all I had to do was replace the liner and I was good to go for another 12 years, and that was with 200 pound humans doing canon balls and whirl pool runs.

Hey Pete, good to see this thing rockin and rollin even if there are a few glitches to fixes .

Try more like 20 tons (8.5 lbs. per gallon plus substrate, tank weight, acrylic weight.

That puts a different point of view on things. Makes you go... Hmmmm THIS IS A BIG TANK!

Stupid question time:
Did you ever have the foundation of your house checked? How thick is the house slab?

Based on the 3/4" overall level variance when my house was initially inspected, I'd say that the foundation is over pilings. The slab is at least 9" thick figuring most garage slabs are 4.5-5.5" and I added 4.5-5.5" on top of the existing slab after Katrina.

The tank covers about 100 sq. ft., so the weight is well distributed.
