4300 Gallon Plywood Build (3600+ Take 2)

"Well either way the pond liner sound like a "for-sure" solution. I know when my 15,000 gallon above ground pool leaked after 12 years of chlorine chemicals and algae growth, all I had to do was replace the liner and I was good to go for another 12 years, and that was with 200 pound humans doing canon balls and whirl pool runs."

yea but were you eating, peeing, and pooping in it ? If so ewwww lol

i read that feature a whil;e back and while stunning i prefer petes tank

I second that. Although impressive, My hat goes off pete. A man with a little help does something on the scale that he is doing, this is a true DIY. I heard Websters is putting a picture of this next to their definition of DIY.:thumbsup:

Did not say the 'the sunken garden tank' was better than Pete's. Just thought others might like to see it because it was a 8,800+ gallons (40,000 litres) aquarium and because it uses 70mm/2.8” acrylic panels.

Not trying to take anything away from Pete. (give me a break and don't read things into a post that are not there.)

It also was not hobbyist built. Commercially built tanks, regardless of how elaborate, don't fit into the same category as DIY. I'm not taking anything away from that tank, but it's not a DIY.
