Mafia 72-Vampires game thread

OK... I've gone over and over the events since nightfall. What stands out to me most are these two posts.
First, FF:

I vote for option A.


I vote to stab a stake into Chill (again) for the same reasons. Placing vote early in case I can't make it tomorrow.

WTF? How can you possibly list Dag and Wiz as good turn candidates? Dag called this out before, but there was no response so I thought I'd put it out there again. FF, I know you can be a little spastic; but this is over the top even for you. It's almost like someone TOLD you to keep up like you were doing, so you put extra effort into it...

This post is NOT what I have come to expect from 2H. First off, it's the only one. After that nightfall, and with all the talk of the game being over or not, this is his only post. I've gotten used to him posting in spurts, especially with all the doin's around nightfall.

Also, where's the emotion? I have read quite a bit of emotion in your posts up 'til this point. Now there's nothing at all. This is very much the post of someone who's suddenly overwhelmed by a total reversal of role in his first game.

I have to stick with one of these two as the turn. Just not sure which one yet. I'd like to hear responses from both of them before deciding.

I can see the point here, Dag. But I still think it's a bad idea to say before hand who you will invest. It just gives the vamps more info to work with in selecting who to bite.

The only reason I said Noods was who I was going to investigate was so that hopefully I could trap her into voting for Ice if she was a vampire. Had she voted for me and then rich vote for me or Jmax with last second vote, I didn't want to risk going to a 50/50 or that I could be the town staking. I won't be saying who I am investigating but I will be listening to suggestions about who I should.

That's a tough one. I'm never very good at choosing who to invest. I think it depends on how you want to handle the vote. If you are for letting the slayer have Wiz, then I'd wait until way later when it's clear who will be voted for of the two the town puts up, and invest the other. That way we know if we had 2 innocents up for the lynch. On the other hand, you want to vote Wiz for the staking; I would go with either FF or 2H at this point.

So far, you've got a much better track record finding scum than I do in that role. In the time travel game (I know, I know) Mad got suspect of me because I couldn't find the scum. So please take this with a huge grain of salt and trust your own gut.

JB, I'll try to answer you question in just a minute, but first I need some more help with this statement. I don't see how staking wiz will help us know the vampire count.

I know, I have been thinking the same thing. The vampires either have Wiz + new turn or Wiz + Dracula + new turn. All I got from the investigation of wiz was that he was a vampire. I am not sure if that means he could be dracula or if he is just a regular vampire. When wiz dies tomorrow we'll know the count of vampires.

I got home last night right after nightfall. Started reading where I left off and really didn't see anything to get fired up about, (on like other nights.)
I was very surprised Rich was a townee (which I'm sure isn't a stretch for you to believe), but really wasn't all that surprised that Kash got JM1212. She has been at least a full day ahead of me the whole game. I thought it would have been brilliant for them to hide a vote on ICE, but was nowhere in knowing if, or who. Judge was also a big surprise to me. (Not that she was a townee, but that she UD'd) While it may have seemed I was after her I wasn't, she had fallen way down my list of suspects.

I don't know if that answer's your question or not JB, but I also expect to be around most if not all of this game day.

I agree with the slayer hitting Wiz, it would definitely ensure there is not another miss. As far as who the turn was....I have no idea but JB I think you are probably on the right path....More reading later, time for coffee and a hair appoinment. :grinyes:

And just for the record let me say that I don't see how asking FF to explain his actions, or defend his position is helping anyone.

I also will agree that our best more would seem to be off of Wiz, and let the slayer have him.

I was thinking, and this is just a thought here but what if the slayer waited another night (they only have one stake left). We take Wiz, the for sure and the slayer could wait to see what Dags invest turns up. IF he finds another Vamp the Slayer could get that one? Not sure that is really the best thing to do...but it is an option.

The way I see it the only people it helps is the town when I name people innocent. the vampires already know who is innocent and who is on their team. The townies do not know. I will say that noods is only innocent in my mind until next nightfall.

This is true that they already know who is innocent. There is ONE advantage (I think) of you naming who you are going to invest. IF they are an innocent, I doubt the vamps would choose them for their bite THAT night since the invest comes after the bite...they would show as Vamp in your invest giving us another to take.

I agree with your list here, LG, but not your reasoning. I think that Chill and I would be obvious choices for a turn. Any team with Jpap, Ice and Wiz on it are going to know what the town would expect... and do the opposite. While ordinarily I would add you to the too obvious to turn list", the fact that you seem to be screaming innocent in this post is off to me. I'm wondering more and more if you were indeed the turn.

I have to wonder about FF and 2H as well. Ice, Wiz and Jm all went after FF pretty hardcore. I can see them planning it out that if they couldn't get him staked by the town, they could turn him later; along with the reasons given earlier why he would be a good choice. I think 2H has a high likelihood too, because he seems to have gone through the wringer already.

I don't really know about Chill. I've only played a couple games with him so I don't have a real read on him.

I see your point, but at the same time couldn't they also know we would think this same thing?
Sorry if I seem to be "screaming" innocent, I was just saying my point. As I said I can't and don't expect anyone to believe me. Of course I hope everyone does...but I can't blame anyone for not believing me. As I said all I can say is I wasn't.
One thing that sticks in my head from Ice...was his post where he said there were 3 vamps. It makes me wonder if that was an incorrect number.
