Something about your reasoning doesn't sit right with me. Why would it matter if we had outed someone who is not King? Are you looking for the king, Dawg?
Thr guards job is to protect the King. The only way we can protect the King is by making the assassin unsure who the King is. We have to make the assassin believe there is a possibility we ourselves could be the King. If User can no longer do that he is useless as a guard and he could also possibly be the assassin. Would you rather eliminate someone who has not already been outed?
I disagree, just because a person has been outed to the assassin as not being King does not mean that they can't contribute to the game. While alive that person can still make observations and give opinions on who they think is the assassin. Sure, it knocks that person off the assassin's list of who they are looking for, but it makes them far from useless as a guard.
I would rather eliminate the assassin. Are you wanting to eliminate guards?

The Guards know the only way to protect the King is by killing. They struggle to reason out who may be the lone assassin, but soon the strain of the decision becomes unbearable.
