Still very new here. I have a tank that is one week old at this point. I am in the early stages of cycling the tank but I have six Danios that are helping me along with the process and three of them are albino Danios. They have real personalities that have been very obvious in this first week. One of the albinos is obviously dominant over the others. It likes to have a pretty big area all to itself it the upper front center of the tank and it seemes to enjoy chasing off any intruders. The others just seem to enjoy violating this territory and it is all a big game to them.

I have been changing 50% - 75% of the water every day so far and I am hoping to make it through the cycling process with all 6 Danios in good health and I plan to keep them for the duration.

I also plan to add 2 Angelfish, 2 Dwarf Gouramis (one blue and one red if I can get them), 5-6 Panda Cory Cats, Maybe 1 Clown Pleco if I feel like the tank can handle it. I'm going wait on the Pleco until last. I want to see if the rest do well before I add that one. I would love to get a Zebra Pleco but they are pretty expensive and I don't want to count on my winter time power supply. If we have a big poer outage I don't want to lose anything really valuable. I get attached easily so I am already worried about my 79 cent Danios.

Here are my latest pics -

Nice tank!

Very nice tank. I, too, especially like the background. Just so you know, zebra plecos like temperatures (85-86° or higher) that many fish will not tolerate. And, they are very reclusive, so if you get 1, plan on hardly ever seeing it ! I have a tank with 11 zebra plecos in it, and everyone who looks at the tank swears that it is empty !! Good luck.

if I may ask.....WHY 2 heaters?
Many people do two smaller heaters as opposed to one. If one big heater sticks "on" and you don't notice for a while, your fish are dead. If you have two smaller heaters and one sticks "on", the one smaller heater probably isn't powerful enough to heat the tank to deadly levels.

Nice tank

Yes... This and if one dies the other will take over. Redundancy.

I took this advice from here on these forums. I lurked on this site for a week before I setup my tank and tried to take some of the advice I found here.

Thanks to everyone for the kind comments. I was originally using the other side of that background but some people commented that it clashed with my other decorations so I tried the other side. It is obviously is getting a better response.

Nice job! If you do go with angels and DG remember that there could be problems. Keep an eye on agression.
