Hey everybody! i dont want to sound like a bad person, but i used to have a gbr and some rummynoses, but they just weren't the direction i wanted to go, soooooo, i traded them in for a red tailed shark, an albino bn and 5 baby tiger barbs! So now my full stock list is
3-4 Kuhli loaches
3 Albino corys
1 albino bn
5 tiger barbs
1 red tailed shark
And i love all of them!!!!!!
Here are the names.
3-4 kuhlis are called the moles
One of my corys is called stumpy, cuz hes missing his side fins, another is called frankenstein cuz hes all deformed, and the other is floaty.
My bn is called Caretaker
My 5 tiger barbs i call the mob, which consists of Frankie, Charlie, Tony, Vinny, and The Don.
and finaly my red tailed shark is named Gunther. I will try to get pics up asap!!!

IMO a red tailed doesn't belong in anything less than a 55. But then again, mine lived in a 5 gallon for a year. (I was 8 so don't flame)

cool names!

Don't worry, one of my friends that works at petco is the fish specialist there and she has been raising, breeding, and collecting red tailed sharks and rainbow sharks for years, and she says that in my tank he'll be fine, cuz he will stop growing eventually b'c of tank limitations. And my substrate is Flora Max

I fixed your statement. :)

These limitations she is talking about and its the build up of growth hormone in the water thus stunting the fish..it's NOT healthy for the fish, or any of the other tank inhabitants either. User_name is correct, it will stop growing because it and the rest of your fish are going to be so concentrated in growth hormone that not just their size, but their organs will stop growing as well.

Actually, the organs and the eyes continue to grow despite the bodily stunting.

I think it depends on the fish, but, I dont doubt it...I've seen a few fish that have exploded..or looked like they have, and their organs are WAYY too big to be inside their body.
