10g plants, CP?

I've been told that hybrids between LLs (lowlanders) and HL (highlanders) are pretty beginner friendly. They kind of act like intermediates. Right now I'm trying out an N. x Miranda which is thought to be a N. maxima x northiana cross.

i want to get some kind of pitcher plant, but i dont want to spend alot of money on a plant that i might kill. and if it grows to large i can just hang it from something right? you mentioned that it grows fast. what is the growth rate?

It's hard to generalize about growth rates really, since they all have their own personalities. The intermediates that I mentioned are all pretty quick growers. A lot of it depends on how close together and big the individual leaves are.

I would recommend the ventricosa. It's relatively inexpensive (you can get one around $10 usually) and I think you'd have to work harder to kill it than keep it alive. As long as it gets light and clean water, you should be just fine with it.

As it turns out, Austin; I had to play a bunch today with my whole set-up... I repotted another baby adelae. I rushed this one a bit, so it'll be at least a few days before I know if it's going to make it through the transition or not, but if it does your name is on it if you want it. =)

I can't believe I have missed this thread until now.. glad to see that CP fever is high contagious.. also I would suggest checking out any local Lowe's or Home Depots as they sometimes cary CPs granted they never have a good selection it is still a cheap ($5) and easy method to start growing CPs.

ya, i remember in like 3rd grade i had a venus flytrap and some type of pitcher, not the ones that produce the actual pitcher but the straight standing up things that stick out of the plant, im sorry, hopefully soon ill have better terminology lol.

but anyways, so ya, how much you want for that adelae? and is there anything else you propagated that i can get from you? do you have any binata?

Cp's have formed yet another thread??? My good lord lol. At least Im strong enough to keep away from the CP fever going on around here. Ill stick to my succulents.

im almost tempted to take down a 30g and turn it into a viv for plants cuz theres just so many, but idk about doin that....

i might take my spare 10g and set it verticle and DIY it to make it look like a exo-terra like setup... than i would have more verticle space to do a rack like setup cuz it seems that drosera are more fond of indirect light?
