Mafia 80: Ghost Hunters

PS... I agree totally that the question is pointless.

The question that begs to be asked is: is FF using this purposely to try and confuse, or is he really trying to help?...

I'm still on the fence about that one...

PPS... anyone seen Wiz around? Did you get lost in the billiard room with Ms. Scarlet?

Had to run some errands right after work then go do a brake job for a co worker. I guess you could say I am a busy guy.

Jeez, stop calling the bedroom my scumden, Wizard.... you ... you... crap, I can't even think of a word bad enough that I'm allowed to type out at this site!!

Well, it looks as if I have responded to everything that I needed to. (and a couple I couldn't resist. ;))

Let me leave with a question.

What is everyone else looking at or for to make their D1 vote on?

At this point, we are facing 2 scum. If we can get the murderer, we greatly hurt them.

I will check in the morning before work for responses and again if I get a chance throughout the day. I do hope to be home before nightfall but I can never guarantee that.

In honor of Chill facing that storm, let me close with my drink is gone and so am I.

(sorry I couldn't resist)

Well then, enlighten us. nightfall is tomorrow. who do you suspect? Who has shown scummy behavior?

As was evident by the time stamps on my posts, not everyone always gets back to the thread in time to take two RL days to make a decision.

What will you be basing your decision on?
Good questions. I will be placing my vote on someone who either is lying low and not genuinely distracted from the game because I beleive this format allows two scum to lie low and get away with it until more souls are taken. Either that or someone who makes suspicious quotes like FF has. So if you wanted names right now all I can give you is FF and rich (cause of minimal posts compared to others) but neither of these reasons is sufficient to make a vote on IMO so I'm still looking and deciding :)

Bally calls out the exchange between FF and Hay:
this exchange doesn't sit right with me. FF gives a normal FF-y response, improper spelling included. He then later comes up with a very well worded response that is succinct and to the point, iirc it had proper spelling. This conversation seems fake....plastic-y.... A hot dog would be a good comparison, trying to be real meat but it's still just meat substitute.

FF responds:
it does? well, im glad you thought my response was well worded and succinct and to da point. Thats what i intended, after all, to answer him. And its cool that i had good spelling, im getting better (thanks spellcheck)

Now Wiz, after having spent a good deal of time vilifying FF, calls out FF yet again for a mistake.
You should stick to checking in before posting in the game thread. Your post everyone is saying was so well thought out and so succinct was in response to Kashta. (and trust me on this one, I guarantee she aint no him. ;))

This is why I am so certain of FF this time around. He responds with such a magnificent post I would challenge Mad, Ice, Dawg, or any of our top players to match it in the course of playing and being in the thread so much, yet he can't even remember which post is being referred to or who he used it to reply to. It was not written by FF.
The problem here, Wiz, is that if you look back through the chronology of the posts, the "him" FF is referring to is Hay, not Kash. Now the question I find myself asking is this: Is Wiz innocent and just so sure that FF is evil that he's blinded by it, or is he evil and just looking for anything he can to make FF look bad. In reality, FF doesn't need any help with that, Wiz... why push so hard? In fact, the post Bally is referring to as succinct is not the same one that Kash was lauding as being well thought out and written. Yet you seem to imply that it is.

Now, let me be clear that I don't trust FF as far as I could bowl him; but Wiz has been pushing awfully hard from the word go. While Kash and others were asking questions, Wiz came out all finger pointy and accusatory.

You say, Wiz; that you had a good read on FF in the GS game, and that's a fair enough statement; but what has that to do with this game? The last time I tried to use the "I was right last time" ploy I was evil and looking to gain credibility.

I'm having a really hard time with this, dude. You asked me to give you until the end of your posting tonight to make up my mind, and I have. I'm still not quite buying it. Your utter refusal to even consider that FF has the capability to write a cohesive post is worrisome to me. You're either evil and pushing too hard at a target that could be easily forgiven when he turns up innocent upon lynching; or you're innocent and have put the blinders on.

Now I've got to figure out which I think it is.

And this seals it for me. I didn't notice this post from Wiz until after I posted my last one. The bolded line seems to me to be the Wiz attempting to take the temperature of the town. I think he's tried to play nice with me because I always tend to suspect him and he was hoping I'd go easy. I stated before that I was weighing my biases appropriately, and I believe I have. I vote to take the soul of the Wiz, and lock it up in the protective grid with slimer and gozer the gozerian.

PS... Wiz, in answer to your question, see my 2 above posts. :grinyes:

Vote count so far....

FF-(1)-Wizard

Wizard-(1)-JB

You are right, I did miss which post Bally was referring to. Fact of the matter is, I have seen FF post this way in only 2 other games.

The RR game and the GS game. What was his alignment?

You say I was all finger pointy, I say I was calling him for what I have perceived as scummy posting.

Were I scum, in a format where we start with only 1 then add 1 in the course of D1 would I push so hard on FF?

I think not, it is too easy to sit back and let the town put their own choices up for lynching.

Personally I think I am a little better at this than to be so obvious on D1 but you are well within your rights to disagree and place your vote where you have.

Do I have blinders on? Quite possibly, I won't deny it. Especially in light of the fact that there hasn't been anything else to go on.

I have seen the town say it is just FF being FF. Enough of the excuses. FF has played more games than I have, we started in the same game and I took some time off for awhile. If I see posting that is distracting and wasting the towns time, especially on D1 when it is the hardest to nail scum, I am going to vote there.

Maybe I have pushed too hard, quite possibly because the town has a tendency to say it is just FF being FF.

How many times have we seen it said of him if he is scum he'll just get himself lynched? He didn't get lynched in the RR game.

I let him slide in the GS game thinking I could see his interactions with others and come back to him. As a result of that I made a wrong shot.

If I am wrong this time, it won't be the first time, and it won't be my last time.
