Hectic day here, but I can be on for a while, just with interruptions. I'll go back to other posts from earlier today after I post this.
Red: Me a random turn last night who then got vialed? No. I wasn't turned and vialed. I'm not communicating with anyone on either side. I held my breath at nightfall waiting to find out where I'd end up.... but no, nothing happened. I didn't die, didn't get turned (by random or evils). Nothing.
Blue: I protected User Name.
You asked me before whether I believed him or not but I couldn't tell you yes 100% without also alerting scum I would protect him last night.
I felt his RC was forced out of him by Pappy and he really was innocent and a GH. My read was it begain as an honest mistake... not pretense or desperation by an evil. That made it so hard for me to believe Pappy would grill him like that and still be innocent himself.
The way I answered you.... I know that 80%/20% thing confused you at the time and I'm sorry about that. If they weren't sure whether I believed User or not, they wouldn't be sure whether I would protect him or maybe someone else altogether. It was the only thing I could do to keep them guessing. Even a 20% guess on their part was better than 100% certainty on anything.
They still had to decide whether:
1. To go for User first -- Killing/turning him..... and leaving me to get torn apart by the town and lynched in the bargain. To prevent them taking out two PRs like that with a single hit, I protected him. They'd have to use 2 hits to get us both. That was all I could do.
2. To go for me first -- On a 50-50 chance I'd die or join them since I was unprotected.... leaving User Name free to communicate with the GHs and get the seance night 4 (if they found each other in time). This is why I had to convince them there was no doubt I would use that 2nd dose last night. That made me LESS valuable to them as a possible turn.
3. Or pick someone else they maybe thought was a GH -- If they thought User Name might be protected and still left me for the town to lynch for them..... they could have hit anyone else they wanted who they believed wouldn't be protected.
Thanks to the random event turn, I have no idea who they targeted last night... me, User, or somebody else. A random reversal of their hit could happen no matter which target they picked.
Green: Nothing in the rules I see that says the doctor can't tell who they protected. The restricted stuff people aren't allowed to reveal only limit people who've been turned.
I don't know who they tried for. I protected User Name.
Agree. I don't think it mattered who I protected either. Nightfall just doesn't read that way.
Agree with this too.
And even if they did target me being a PR they still need to get before they can win..... the random act could have protected me the same way it would have had I been some other GH or townie. I couldn't protect myself but the random reversal would have protected anyone, including me.
So Kash if you were turned then vialed you would now be communicating where you were not before so you now know if the turn was stopped by vial or protection. I believe if this was protection you should share who you protected as the scum know who they tried to hit. Telling us who you protected is not the same as admitting you were vialed as that may be against the rules. There could be any number of reasons why you chose to share the protection with the group.

Kash said that she protected the correct person so I assume that means she isn't communicating and it wasn't a random event.
Nevermind, I thought she explicitly said that was what she thought happened but she just listed it as a possibility. My mistake.

You have not been your usual bush kicking self. You only poked a bit at Un and a bit at Kashta. I get the feel you did not really care what the answers are.
I don't think Kashta's protection saved anyone, LG would have included that as she did the other time it happened.
Agree. I don't think it mattered who I protected either. Nightfall just doesn't read that way.
Rich is correct that it doesn't match up well with the protection write up from earlier...I had forgotten that it was an orb, not a mist, that saved Kash. I was thinking both mentioned the mist.
Anyways, the protection also happens before the evil's vials so it wouldn't make much sense for LG to write that they were touched and THEN saved. RAOV happen last so that matches up.
If UN comes on and says that no one else joined the GH(s) that was innocent beforehand then I am going to act under the assumption that the evils targeted a GH, presumably UN, and the random act reversed them back to a GH.
Agree with this too.
