Let's see... Since I've been popping in and out a lot, I started on Page 1 this morning to get a more overall feel for this. Here's where I stand on the game so far.
Bally - Is she even playing? Hiding out? Hasn't even tried to post anything useful.
Chill - Ref: Post 124... Pulled quotes to question User Name. Didn't get an answer so he repeated it all in Post 211. Basically, since User mentioned FF and NPR, this gave Chill flashbacks to jokes from the sign up thread. And that lead Chill to conclude maybe User was teamed with Pir to explain the comment. I'd say that was possibly a good attention-getter post to find out what User's real reasoning was but not something that amounts to anything valid for this game itself. Chill's actual question in that post is not well founded, if it was even serious at the time Chill posted it. Ice was being funny. I find it highly implausible that Ice intended to team me with Tigger and Piglet while telling everyone in the signup thread he would do it... and the subsequent jokes that followed which linked User/Pir together during sign up were nothing but more silliness. Really can't see this as a basis for voting User at all because he reacted to something this incredible.
Dawg - Voted FF for the hypothetical/fake scumden conversation FF posted as a joke. Sorry, don't see that as a real scum-tell for someone, Dawg.
DD - Hasn't posted enough to tell anything yet.
FF - Ref: Post 126... Here FF made a joke which included someone (Chill) by name as President. Doesn't read to me as FF really speculating about townie PR identities. FF still got blasted for doing that even in joke form (which is all well and good). But it's another non-issue.
Jpappy - You really think FF's fake scumden "transcript" joke post was a "huge noob mistake in naming a PR?" That's a little over-stated, don't you think?
Lab Rat - Nothing stands out a scummy this time. Gee, Lab... how'd that happen? I could always count on you before to say something worth pouncing on.... lol. The initial comment by Lab Rat about the percentage of scum team numbers seems ok to me now, after reading what else she had to say about it in following posts. Ice didn't include that half evil/half innocent part in our game rules. And lots of people gloss over the rules in sign up threads. Basing an assumed estimate at 25% isn't unreasonable if someone really missed the post Ice made prior to game start. That said, I won't count those posts against Lab Rat, User, or Pappy as suspicious.
Lady G - Seems to be trying too hard so she'll come across as seriously bush kicking.... the way she has been questioning everyone about every little thing at a time when no one was really posting anything tangible yet. In one post, she characterized my Noods comment as being "quick to jump on Noods." That was over-stating what I actually said at that point and Zaffy had already asked me about it anyway. I didn't really question that at the time though. When she brought it up again, however, to say that "stood out" to her as something significant.... I dunno. That strikes me as a bit "quick to jump" on me since I hadn't returned to the thread yet to even answer Zaffy's question. Interesting reaction though.
Ninja - Not sure he's playing.
Noods - Aside from her initial comment to me which caught my attention followed by her really bad answer to me about that which then caught my vote.... I notice Noods was the only one who jumped in to support Rich's suggestion that Ice likes to hand pick roles. Really, Noods... you seriously thought THAT was being helpful?
Piranha - Few posts.. no real read yet.
Rich - No one else had speculated about Ice possibly hand picking roles..... so Rich finally did it himself. What reason would you have for doing that, Rich? Were you really hoping that would start us off on a useless tangent?
Two Hobbies - Few posts made until being called out so hard. Nothing really there that stood out to me as having scummy intent.
User Name - Comment made to Dawg about his vote on FF is spot on. Made a decent reply to Chill's question being really far-fetched. Don't agree that makes Chill scummy though... probably just bored.. lol.
Wizard - Reminded FF not to get sidetracked by watching who's on the thread but not posting. Then posted to "rant" about FF joking about a president role. Hmm.. okay. (I believe that point had already been made for FF's benefit.) FF was obviously NOT "speculating" that Chill really is the president any more than he was (not) admitting to be communicating with a scummate (Piglet). An ill-advised attempt at humor, maybe... but not nearly as sinister as this single post was made out to be by either Dawg (voted FF) or Wizard (ranted about it).... then further addressed by Chill and Pappy. Singling TwoHobbies out last night seemed random. Seems to me anyone wondering about 2H for making few posts of value would/should be wondering the same about Bally or several others just the same. Going further to build a whole case against 2H seems contrived. You have any real reason, Wizard, for picking on 2H over the same thing so many other players have been doing the whole first day?
Zaffy - Questioned me about my comment regarding Noods. That actually seemed a fair question to ask given the way he read my post and thought the latter afterthought part was something the initial lines lead up to. Nothing about him questioning this seems overblown, protective of a teammate, or anything. (But I should probably still vote him for still have two FF's in his name... lmao.)

All in all... there's just a lot of crap even for Day 1. Most folks are going through the motions of being inquisitive... more to make themselves appear pro-town than anything that's really going to flush out real scum.
Wes was right... we are boring this game.
Given that half our lineup is evil, I'd say the odds are pretty grim that an innocent won't get lynched tonight.

I did not say we should speculate about Ice picking roles, I said it was normal day one fodder and I was surprised it had not happened.

That makes a lot more sense. I agree we have no real clue here, I guess we are all making our best judgment calls.
I would like to note that 2H has vanished from the thread. I bet someone told him to shut up. I've had that happen to me in other games.

I know that when im scum, i always get nervous about a vote. But when im innocent, i get less nervous, mostly because i don't have a team that can be let down.

I don't know how to spell this out any easier for you...
1) Ice never stated it was 50/50 in the game thread. Those are the rules I read. Whether I should have read the sign up rules first or not is beside the point. I didn't.
2) I did not remember the split from the past game. That was 70 games ago. We now know that the split from that game wasn't a true 50/50 anyways.
3) It was asked what people thought of the split. I said I didn't remember what happened in #9, just that there were at least 3 of us. Having a team of two isn't very likely.
4) When referring to this game (#81) I was acting out of the assumption that generally we start with ~25% scum. That would mean a total of four, split between two teams with two on each. Didn't seem likely therefore I thought it would be 3/team since more than that would get even farther from the 25% mark. I explicitly said three and "I dont see there being more than that this time around anyways." Hence 2-3 was my guess. Once again, I HAD NO IDEA IT WAS A 50/50 SPLIT.
You didn't even respond to my response directly AFAIK. You've been talking via other people's posts about you I. And it was spurred on because someone questioned how much you have helped and you think calling me out was part of what you've done. Why didn't you keep trying to "prove" your point to my face? Right now it just looks like you are trying to prove to others that you're actually digging.
You've been pretty hung up on me, it seems, when I wasn't the only one who "missed" the 50/50 rule. The only difference being I was the one who did play the last bloody coup game...but that was, what, three years ago? Give me a break.

Maybe I was too harsh in wording, but my point was that FF is no noob and should know how things are going to be taken. Even if it were a joke he did give a somewhat legitimate reason why Ice would pick Chill as Pres whether it really makes a difference or not. It is still always a no-no.
