sick Demasoni african cichlid

If demasoni is still eating, it is a hopeful news. Keep monitoring and act acorsing test results.

I would hold off on FD Brine though.

Hope all goes well!

It hasn't eaten for three days. she swims up to the food like she is going to eat it then doesnt its pretty weird.

I really dont know how long fish was exposed and how high levels were.
Sometimes exposure to NO2 may not take effect riht away. Depending duration and level of exposure, it could have chronic effect rather than acute.

At least attempt on food is made. Kee your fingers crossed as I am will be doing the same.

perhaps try putting a little garlic juice on the food. not only will this make it more tasty for the fish, garlic is good for them.

OMG really? i really want to try this now... I actually also have a small demasoni cichlid that's not eating ATM and i wonder if this will get him to eat.

Well she started eating again! fist time in three weeks. I was sure she was going to die because she looked really bad. I think the trick was that i quarantined her in a net in the one corner of the tank so other fish could not chase her and steal food. I have been testing the water and the ammonia is now at zero and the nitrites are high. I'm guessing that the cycle is now on the tail end.

good to hear! i figured the breeder net would work.

still keeping up with those daily (or almost daily) water changes, right?
