Join mafia! (Please read)

Ok, so maybe you've been mildly interested in mafia, or you've glanced over a few games, now would be the time to try. We're playing a basic game, which is the easiest to follow. It's also Christmas themed for extra fun. Here's what you have to do:
  • Go to this thread: Click here.
  • Read through the rules in the first post, and make sure everything makes sense. If you have any questions, feel free to shoot me a PM.
  • Post the word 'in' in the thread. (Ex. "I'm in")
It's as easy as that. Mafia games are really fun, and are a great way to occupy yourself.

We're really trying to recruit new/inactive mafia players. If you haven't played, give it a shot. And if you've played a game or two before and you just phased out, why not try a new one? If you had an issue with a previous game, PM me, it's likely been resolved. And if it hasn't, I'll see what I can do.

There's some different rules and stuff from past games, so it may be a better experience.

The game will start Tuesday, December 14th at around 4:00 EST, so now would be the time to jump in.

Remember, everyone is welcome to the game, you shouldn't feel excluded for any reason.

I'd come back, but my time is pretty limited, which results in only 1 or 2 good posts per day. I end up being more of a place holder/number getter instead of a valuable player.

BUT if I had the time, I'd play again! For all of you considering mafia it's a great game, and the players here are a LOT of fun! :)

Rules:
*No out of game communication unapproved by me.
You cannot communicate with another player outside of the current game thread unless you have been given permission by the mod (host of the game) to do so.
*No personal attacks, excessive rambling, or seriously bad language. If I feel you are doing any of these, I will warn you, and if it happens again, I will UD you.
Don't just post for the sake of posting, try to make the posts good ones. Do not insult players, it has turned out badly in the past.
*Rule above applies to PR/Scum/Selected Townie/Dead chats. That will be a lot looser, but if I am contacted by another player in that chat that feels you are doing the above things, I will warn you, and if it happens again, I will UD you.
*No after-death posting. I may or may not set up a dead chat.
*No editing of posts.
Once you get voted off or die, you cannot post in the game thread. You cannot edit posts within the game thread.
*If you are going to quit, PM me, and you will die at nightfall. If it’s posted in the game, you immediately UD and cannot change your mind.
*I have the right to change the game as I see fit, or to UD any player I felt has broken rules.
UD means Untimely Death, its when you forget to vote or get killed off for breaking the game rules. The Mod can kill of any player for breaking the rules.

Ok, pretty much what it comes down to is there are two teams of ppl. One good and one bad. Each "nightfall" there is a lynching which you vote for. The evil are trying to stay in and kill off the innocents, the innocents are trying to take out the evils.
Evil players know each other and can talk in a special chat room set up for them.
Innocents do not know anyone elses role besides their own.

It is confusing at first, and day one is usually even more confusing. Get past the first nightfall and you will get it a bit better.

I say give it a try!

1 or 2 good posts a day is fine by me, and I doubt you'd be grilled for that.
 
Never played it and don't plan on it, sorry. :)
