I had a family friend that was nice enough to import some for me. They are basically high grade RCS with solid red coloring including the legs.

Here are some pics of mines.

Thanks. I noticed that the pics that go around online about the fire reds are just the best specimens. Some are lighter and less solid but still alot more than regular RCS. About 90 percent of my shrimp are super solid red. Then a few have a few pieces that are lighter

I have a friend, who works in NY, bought some of this beauty in an LFS in NY if I'm not mistaken... Color is really red like the pictures you posted... Nice looking inverts :)

Beautiful shrimp! Love the solid red coloring just wish I could afford them. LOL. Perhaps when folks colonies get larger I will get lucky!!

Put some green ones in there and you will have a Christmas tank!!! Beautiful!

I got green shrimp, snowball shrimp, blue pearl shrimp, tiger shrimp, and crs. I can make christmas, american flag, and a candy cane show tank. lol

WOW !! NICE TAIWANS

Thank you. I love these guys

As far as I know, there are no fire red shrimp being sold in NY at any LFS. Thats why I had to import them. Thank you. So far these are my most favorite shrimp at the moment.

yea the ones i have look great just there is some spotting. having someone pick them up direct and send is always the best way. i dont remember the kind i have but the ada soil mine are in is lighter. maybe thats effecting them as well.

I had mines in a substrate free tank before. With just a glass bottom some of them got lighter but most of them stayed the same color. So when I put them in ADA aquasoil, besides the contrast, the solidness stayed the same. I just love aquasoil and it seems to give me the best luck so far with shrimp. I could just be paranoid but im not gonna fix whats not broken

martial, once you get these guys breeding and have enough to sell, I predict a feeding frenzy here. Intending, of course, to be first in line. :)
