hey everyone, i have an anubia that is just in the gravel its not attached to anything, i noticed all its roots where like normal roots but there was one green skinny long root. is that the rhizome of the plant and should i make the root stick out from the gravel?

The rhizome should be thicker than the other roots, and is between the stem and the roots. It grows perpendicular to the plant.

the rhizome should never be buried in the substrate. usually it is much better to tie the anubias to some wood. you can use fishing line, sewing thread, or an elastic band. super glue can also be used.

i sure do :grinyes: thank you betta, my anubias rhimzone is super super small but i managed to get it to stick out of the gravel thanks for all the help
