Why not get some smaller chiclids? Firemouths, Blood Parrots, Convicts, ect are cool chiclids that will be fine in a 75. Why not try africans, they look awesome and can be nasty.

Many people feed oscars only hot dogs and feeder goldfish. It gives results, just not "good" ones.
Look, if you want a "manhood" fish go with something you can house in your 75, at least for a while anyway. The fish you mention are no where near the "toughest" fish on the block. All are skittish (except for oscars which are wimps btw) and other than destroying feeder minnows aren't real interesting. Get a dovii male and raise him by himself. Great cichlid that will eat oscars for lunch (I DON'T condone it but have witnessed it). And if you wanted to you could feed him small mammals for dinner (again, don't condone it but have witnessed it). Oh, and they have teeth!
If you really want to get hard core grow up a redtail cat or native flathead then keep him in a stock tank when he grows up.
It's your tank, your money and your decision but you can't give us an irresponsible hypothetical question and expect agreement. Sure, the fish will survive for "x" period of time in a 75 gallon. Until your piranha takes a chunk out of the arrowana's gut, the oscar gets aggressive and kills the piranha and the gar gets spooked tries to jump out and knocks the glass top into the tank shattering the glass flooding your room.
