Have you lost a fish in yer tank and then found it again?

I had a khuli loach disappear for 5 months and then I found one day swimming around. Before that, it always swam around the tank. That's why I thought it was dead.

Akysis. Dwarf orange bumblebee catfish. One of MsJinx's most entertaining products...when you can see them. Which I sometimes don't for weeks/months on end.

The one (there may be two but I haven't seen them both at the same time in a long time so can't say for sure) in the shrimp tank is (are, collectively) known as Mark Twain. On account of "reports of their death(s?) have been greatly exaggerated" so many times. :)

I found a missing fish under one of my couch cushions (all mummified) once. It was strange.

I had a 55 gal. tank that someone gave me, and it was late fall and I wasn't going to set it up until the following spring. I put about 5 inches of water in it so it would not dry out. It had gravel in it, as it was set up right before I received it. I had a cup with a half dozen baby shrimp in it that I had floating in there while I was cleaning my other tanks and was going to put them in one of the other tanks. Anyway some how I got side tracked and forgot about them. The next day when I went into fish room / furnace / laundry room in the basement, I could see the cup had sunk, but didn't see any cherry shrimp anywhere. There was no light on the tank, and no heater. I checked for them for next couple of weeks and put a little food in there. After three weeks, I gave up. The following spring, about four months later I was setting the tank up, which know only had a few inches of water, and to my surprise here the shrimp were. All alive and a couple where huge (over a inch and dark red). So these were some hardy little shrimp and a complete surprise.

I lost a 3" Fire eel. 4 yr later I found him when I was breaking down the tank. Seems he had gotten under the undergravel filter plate.. He was 14" long when I found him

Not a fish but one time I could not find a nerite snail in a small tank. I took all of the decorations out, searched the filters, and ran my fingers through the gravel with no trace. I then started searching outside the tank for it in case it crawled out but I eventually had to stop searching. A little while later I noticed it cruising around the tank. I still have no clue where it went when I could not find it.

Mg drains tanks and finds fish the next day....
