I Understand OP may feel desperate/insecure(?) but couldve easily been resolved/improved upon bit of research done by him/herself. Sometimes rendering better diagnosis than thru images.

Cloudy eye has no shelf med remedy". Cant believe what I am reading although some situations can be more difficult to diagnose/treat correctly/apropriately than other cloudy eye situations as there are more than one agent behind such symptom. However, one appropriately chosen/adminstered medication couldve corrected/improved the fin rot and prevented sec/tert infections or even treat cloudy eyes as well.

afa Stresscoat, just another dechlor. Hope people dont fall for their marketing strategy.

i only used one med (binox) and all i have been doing is researching....someone on here suggested the stress coat...i didnt fall for any marketing ploys and have been pooring over reviews of people who have had the same problem
 
for the record, Cloudy eye has never been cleared from anything that the shelf had to offer and from the extensive research I made when I had a similar problem, the best advice was not to purchase any med from the shelf. That the only real remedy to fight against cloudy eye was water changes. I stand behind that preventative as well. I am not sure I understand clearly what you just said Cerianthus but this is from my own personal experience.

Whether you fell for such is irrelvalent at this point but shoulve realize that overuse of such products may even worsen the environment (water) which will increase stress on already suffering fish (something like gradual choking, etc, etc).

I just googled "Fin Rot on Goldfish" and easily found one site w/ dependable solutions and even provided same link in one of your threads (Dont ask me which one though:)). Not saying this is only/best option as there are other meds which will do the tricks.

Cant/shouldnt believe all the postings made by each individual on forums. Rather, should go by the already proven facts/remedies on fish diseases.

There are certain diseases or stages of diseases that can be cured by correcting water conditions but not all diseases. It's not matter of clean or pristine, but to provide STABLE & ideal conditions for fish in question, especially when suffering from such progressed infections.

I havnt seen or experienced one batch of Goldfish which arrived from Asia @ transshippers holding tanks without problems. However most of these symptoms, including fin rot/red streaks on the fins/tail, can be and were easily correctly by providing STABLE & ideal conditions but not always by performing daily water changes which may be unnecessary or may even impose further stress.
There were situations that required meds depending on the symptoms and severities/stages of infections.

Dont feel bad as I ve been there but learned quickly to alwyas give some thoughts (reasoning) before taking into action or jumping the gun (stresscoat to treat diseases for an example).

Anyway, hope Calico Oranda recovers soon!

Cloudy eye has no shelf med remedy? Wrong! It's bacterial in nature and if you treat with the right antibiotic it will respond. And moving from dirty water to cleaner didn't make it happen.

I used MelaFix and PimaFix today.......guess what DORSAL FIN UP!!! all fins are up and out no clamping.......so for me i say it helps!!!

ok, point made. As I said though, the remedy that worked for me was continuing water changes daily. I would think that whatever remedy I did try (this was 10 years ago so I forget what I might have tried) dissipated eventually with the water changes. I did not switch meds or continue more than the noted directions called for.
 
There's no question that water quality and two other unmentioned components which are a good diet and a suitable physical environment have a major impact on the course of any infection, be it bacterial, parasitic or whatever. All of the meds in the world won't help if these factors are too out of whack. And quite frankly quite a few of the most popular, commonly used antibiotics aren't very effective against the majority of common aquarium infections.
