Post-Extinction Plant Update

Just a little update on the plants, post-extinction event. I think I am getting pearling (First pic...so i turned down my CO2). And my Banana plant is HUGE!!!! It has a Lily pad leaf, what's up with that?!

Cool. I have 2 banana plants in my discus tank now, and I had them in other tanks previously. They will shoot up a lily pad thing to the surface, and if there is any current, the stem can grow really long, like several feet. I've cut them off, and in a few weeks they'll shoot up another lol.

Did you know, if you cut it off and leave about 4 inches of the stem on the pad, and leave it floating, that stem will grow another banana plant in about a week or more. The new plant usually doesn't have any tubers, though.

I did not! I have about 18" of stem, so no issues there! Thanks
