Any thoughts on the Anthony verdict?

I wonder how many people that honestly think she's innocent would have her over as a babysitter.

I don't think she should've been tried for murder either, but manslaughter, definitely. The defense claimed that she drowned in the pool, yet she let it go for a month before reporting anything, and then let hundreds of people and who-knows how much time/money do a futile search for her, meanwhile partying hard like everything is all good.

I get that she put it in the closet and tried to pretend like her life was normal, or whatever, her miles of lies shows that. I've known some people very closely who are pathological liars, so I get it, but I don't think it should absolve her from responsibility for what happened to the child.

Right, I hear so many people getting mad at the jury. Don't blame the jury for doing what they were suppose to do, blame the prosecution for not doing what it was suppose to do.

I think she, and/or she and members of her family are definitely guilty of something or a cover up of something.The jury had an option in special circumstances to call it manslaughter via the aggravted child abuse grounds and opted not to. The verdict doesn't absolve her from any responsibility. Just states the evidence wasn't there, for them to convict her.

That's right Bob, while people are tending to think this is over it isn't by any means. There are still charges that can be brought against her both in a criminal and civil manner.

And as with all the famous "what was the jury thinking!" cases, no one will hear about those. Further charges will not be interesting enough to get media coverage. In the world of public opinion, the case ended here.

What was never answered was what happened to Caylee? He (she) who lies the best goes free! At the very least she should have been found guilty of child neglect.

I am amazed how ignorant the DA was to say that the murder weapon was the duct tape on the child's mouth. It is simply not possible to fall off the skin and then magically reattach itself to the skull. The state's case was rushed and not well-thought out. It isn't that the defense did a great job, the state did a lousy job of presenting it's case.

Rather than rush to judgement on a poorly presented case, the state could have prosecuted Casey for the thefts which would have held her over in prison while they pursued a more sound case. In the worse case scenario, let her run free while you assemble your case.

Thank you, I have tried explaining this concept to other people and for whatever reason, ignorance probably being the highest on the list, they do not seem to understand. Take your personal feelings out and look at the evidence presented and not one piece proves she did anything. The evidence may prove that she is probably psychology unsound but it does not prove her to be a murderer.

you know Pet, my guy reaction was to feel extreme sadness for what I considered injustice..... until you came along and elbowed me in the side, reminding me that the fault does not lie in the decision but in the facts presented. We seem to forget that sure, we might have had the live stream and seen a lot of what was going on in the court room but we have also been muddied upon with the media.... something that the jurors should not have been. They had just what they had.... court and evidence. They were given a job and performed to the best that they could. I agree, she may not have been a candidate for murder 1 but for manslaughter, I am leaning on her for that one. I am also leaning on the whole child endangerment charge (abuse or whatever) because she did not call the cops for 31 days because she thought it would be better if she tried to find her, herself. Ths action coming from a daughter of a cop.... she knew better regardless of the circumstances.

Thank you. I have tried since the beginning of this trial to look at the case as a juror. I have put my opinions to the side and let the evidence speak for itself, and the evidence spoke loud and clear, she did not kill her daughter. Now my personal opinion is that she may not have been the actually person who killed Caylee but she knows who did. I really think George Anthony and Roy Kronk both should be looked at a little more closely.
