Hi guys,

as most of you know, i have been having a few issues bc of me being very impatient and doing quite a few impulse buys, and me also being kind of stupid. Now that I think of it, instead of paying total $60 for a dime size discus, I could have gotten 2 adults from my LFS for $70, so I blew my money there. I am done with buying fish until Thanksgiving, I made my parents write that down so if I ask them to drive me, they will show me that, which really helps with control.

So, here is all the info. You guys decide which fish to remove and what to do to solve these problems.

and thats it, i can easily go buy a 20G or 29G if i need to
thx

Since most discus keepers are saying my discus are stunted, i will have to agree now. So, the problems I mainly see is that I cannot keep my discus:( I would love to, but it does seem like I can't provide for them, and keep them healthy and happy enough. Especially since I'm starting highschool, I will have no time for anything, especially WCs, max of 1 50% and 1 25% weekly. So not sure if that is enough.

This is the solution I have thought of, but I hate it, but I have to because i care for my fish.........................

rehome the discus
and all my problems are solved

What are you going to do with all those angels as the mature? As they pair off they will agressively defend their territory. I had 2 pair in a well planted 55, cories were their companions. Keep up your water changes to keep them healthy.

don't foget that you have killies arriving.....

Those babies are going to be sold in 2 weeks or I am getting a 55G.

don't be so quick to say that you won't have enough time to take care of them. budget your time and you shouldnt have any problems (i.e. get off the internet when doing HW). I maintained my fish tanks all through high school, and was even breeding various fish throughout my high school career. add in the fact that I was a four-year athlete (playing club in the off season) and graduated first in my class and participated in plenty of extracurricular activities AND still had a social life, I think you'll be OK to maintain a few fish tanks.

Glad you took my advice to make a single central thread for all this.

Well, first off, don't think that everything others say is fact. For example, in your other thread some said that corys and rams didn't go together. I've had sucess keeping them together, so it may work for you as well. I don't know much about Neon Blue Gouramis, but my Pearl does fine with the Rams, Neons, Serpaes, Mollys, and corys. No promises though. I would recomend you return the discuss and angels (all the discuss/angels) if possible, and that you try to move the rams into their own tank (one species of another, not both) just in case of aggression. I would now like to note that I have little experiance with Rams as of yet, only ever kept 5, and of those I have 3. I also have limited experience with angels and no experiance with discuss. Besides that I don't really think I can offer any help or suggestions.

I agree that you are going to have a problem with all those angelfish, why would you buy that many, and just by the statement "they will be sold in two weeks or I will get a 55" sounds an alarm in my head that you aren't really serious about correcting your wrong. I would start with one tank get the stocking right and then move on. The main thing is STOP BUYING FISH!!!!

Cories and rams do not go well together long term. It can work in the short run but soon you'll find the random cory dead. They're too stupid to get out of the rams' territories ime. FF, iirc you haven't had rams but for a month or so, and they've been sick during that time so that is prob why you're saying they're fine together.

^(petluvr) easy tiger, keep in mind he's only 14. And yes....I will defend him. I think he heard enough of this in his previous thread. Tone it down a notch please.

As per most that post here, age doesn't matter...it is how willing you are to take the advice being offered...or continue to have issues.....even while acknowledging discus issues....more fish are being purchased for delivery this week...petluvr is correct in his statement.
