Ok so your going to buy a female gold ram? I believe that is going to make it worst if they share a tank with other fish. He will protect his territory.
 
not like now, i meant later, im so horrible at like giving the actual meaning, after i sort out the other fish and split them up

i also might be able to keep the tote as i can do this


72G in living room
10G in living room

29G and 20G in my room

and leave the 28G tote in my little bros room;)
 
Just get rid of all the rams except the pair of GBRs. GBRs are more peaceful, so long as they don't spawn. Sell the female GBRs to fish stores or people near you, and sell the gold ram to someone else as well (I happen to have a 20gal tank that's empty, I could buy it if you accept PayPal and are willing to handle shipping). It would be the only fish in the tank for now, so there would be nothing it can bully :)

If you get rid of all the rams then you can keep most of the other fish.
 
i don't have any female GBRs, did u mean the bolivians, i am keeping those for sure, i'll sell 1 of them, and im trading 1 of them for a male with somebody here on AC, and then I'll have a trio, and once the male picks the female, i'll sell the other too, i know they might spawn, but I really won't have anything in that tank

and btw, do you think I could divide the 20G so I can have the Bolivian ram Pair, and then some other fish or just the bolivian ram pair

it should work, and i was thinking about it before, but didn't want to,but i guess i have to
 
Bolivian Rams need a min of 20 gallons, so cutting that in half would NOT work. They grow to be 3in long fish, and should have a tank to themselves. And yes, I meant the bolivian rams, I get them confused with GBRs... :)

The offer still stands with the Golden Ram, I'd be happy to take it in and even pay for it.

Well, i only have 1, the one with the bruise;) i sold the other yesterday after it recovered, it was just getting bothered by the alpha male. I really don't want to sell/ship my gold ram:) i don't want it to die, maybe if i was more experienced and all, but i don't think ur going to pay $25 for express when you can get 2 for the same.
 
moving the 10G to the bay window, what do u guys think is the max temp. for dario darios. I have them currently at 82 and they seem fine, is 84 okay sometimes, the tank is in the far end of the kitchen, so maybe 1 degree warmer than rest of the house?

then i'll be setting up the 29G, shifting the 20G 4ft, doing a 50% WC on 72, using 1/2 of that water in the new 29G to cycle, using old filter media, and switching out the rest of the parts.

so it should be something like this


whisper 20 for 20G
penguin 350 for 29G
aqueon 10 for 10G
aqueon 10 for 20G tote(figured it out, its only 28 if u fill to above the handles, i fill to below.
penguin 350 for 72G, and canister

i need to get another HOB for the 20G:)

maybe i'll stock it low for the time being,

any more suggestions on how to stock these 4 tanks?
 
and the 29G won't have gravel, maybe a 1/2 inch layer of sand so i can plant some plants. and this way its easier to maintain

and for the 20G, i'll take out as much gravel as i can right, bc whenever(2months+), the ABNs breed, the babies are better off in just a BB tank? right?

i can also do a thin layer of sand in that too.
 
just moved 10G

after my LA tutor leaves at 3pm, i'll do the other tanks, and the WC
