With the top off can you move the intake to make the impeller visible? If not you can just take the intake off completely and just give it a nudge. I never had an aquatech so maybe its not possible with their design.
^yeah, no. with the a/t's the whole impeller shaft seats inside the lift tube and that whole assembly then gets set into place. there's no way to access the impeller once it's workable (seated correctly).
I think most small filters must be made cheaply. I've had a Penguin 100 and Tetra 10 both quit after about 6 months recently. AquaTechs I haven't had any trouble with (yet).
