Mafia #98: The Grinch Returns -- The Play

if anyone believed you, the town would be in big trouble. that's why you'll likely not get my vote for another nightfall, but you've got me convinced now... especially when looking at the timing when you posted you'd be busy for the weekend. one post on the first day, then 24hours later saying you wouldn't be on for the weekend... and you almost completely stuck to that vice one other post. that's way out of the norm for you when you're innocent... especially after being accused. the fact that you voted your accuser is neither here nor there, but you definitely seem coached to me.

If you're convinced FF is scum why is he not getting your vote this nightfall?

make sense?

Nope, you say you are "convinced now" and that FF "definitely [seems] coached"...and you talk about how he is "acting out of the norm" compared to being innocent. What's holding you back then?

rather vote someone a little more difficult if i can.

pap... why you sticking up for him? why is there a question on my motives? why is there a question when he's playing the noob role and comes out innocent after a lynch... over and over... then when he's playing an almost solid game, there's no consideration to that being a major scum tell? isn't it obvious... a little too obvious... at this point?

Dun, I have to agree with Pap...if you are convinced that FF is scum, it seems that would be a good place for your vote scum is scum easy or not right? Also the fact only if anyone "believed" him kinda takes me back a bit. As for how he is playing, I have seen him play great games when innocent (of course he ended up lynched because he was playing different, lol).

Have you ever been introduced to the idea of "pocket mafia"? LOL

If you think someone is scum then you vote for them, regardless of who they are...it's a numbers game. You say it's an obvious scum tell for him but are hesitating to vote. Almost seems like you want to see what others have to say before placing that vote, or at least have an excuse for if (and I say if) he flips innocent.

And I don't see how you see me sticking up for FF. I'm not making excuses for how he is playing, I'm questioning you. Should I just assume you are innocent instead?

is anyone reading what i'm writing and checking back on his posts? seems rather easy to just jump on the last thing posted rather than investigate and rationalize. i prefer the latter... even when is seems difficult or erratic. look back on the last couple games if you wish... i was the first one moaning about everyone jumping on FF for bad gameplay... and he was lynched and found innocent. there was a lot of talk questioning why one would give a free pass to him still. in this case, i think the free pass time is up... not due to time, but rather his game play that's inconsistent with his normal play when innocent. i still think folks should look for something less obvious and choose another maybe harder target that's less obvious to get difficult players that can bite the town in the rear in the end, yet have something so obvious to fall back on in case we can't get definite reads. this lessens the pressure and allows the town to focus more on finding something that may be more detrimental... and have an "ace in the hole" so to say if we need it. it's a good strategy for any team game, if your team can follow... or just pick up on it.

i don't need an excuse if he flips innocent. i'm convinced he's scum. that's all there is to it. if i can't get a read on someone else, then of course i'd have to vote him. i'm not going to put all my ducks in a shallow basket, though.

and what the heck is "pocket mafia"?
