HELP!!!! most of my baby frontosa died

1 inch er 1.5 inch frontosa and there 7 months? i know they grow slow but not THAT slow!! they should be about 5 to 5.5 inches or more by now, and the parents you have are 5 and 6 inches and 3 years old? they should already be nearing the foot mark, please either upgrade your tank or get rid of them.. harsh yes i know but wow... somthing is wrong, how big is this tank? and no the tank has nothing to do with fish growth, they should still achive the exact size they need to be by now.. ( parents that is ) i think your fish are stunted... again how big i this tank? hope its a 125-6 footer....? heck even a 120-4 foot by 2 foot wide would work for a small colony ( 5 fronts ) i would think?

can somebody help me with whats wrong. i have(had) 25 baby frontosa in a 10 g tank. they were an inch in size and the only ones that survived were 2 frontosa and my 3 tropheus with them. ok so the temp was 72 degrees, i started to feed them spirulina a month ago because of my trophs diets. a week before they died i chose to move 6 fronts to my show tank (60g). they are all fine but 10 min ago i saw all my babies in a pile dead on the bottom of the tank. they were alive this morning before i took off to school. can somebody please explain what could have gone wrong.

ps. i have kept the baby fronts for 7 months without any issues

Show tank size here^

ammonia- 0
nitrate- 0
nitrate- 10
ph - 8.2
temp -72

I assume that your Nitrite is 0 and if you tested your tank and your ammonia is 0 in a 10 gal tank with 28 fish, I recommend going with a different brand and check the expiration date on the test kit.

1. temp is too cold. it should be at around 78.
2. Too many fronts in a 10 gal tank, especially with two larger tropheus.
3. Depending on your transferring method you may have put the fronts in shock
4. You need to do daily water changes with that size tank w/ that many fish
5. Frontosa are very slow growers, My front was two years and the larger male was about 6.5 inches with weekly water changes in a 6ft 150gal tank at 78F

And 6. RESEARCH, RESEARCH, and MORE RESEARCH

how big is this show tank?

He posted it in his first post
