Mafia #99: The ACville Files- Game Thread

I was playing Tropico 4 yesterday until very near to nightfall. Had I had time to read the thread I would have voted for you because I think you're scum and I still do. I don't regret keeping my vote on FF though, because he was lynched instead of UD, and that saved a townie.

You are soooo lucky that LG can't post here or she would tear you up for putting a video game above mafia.

So you think Dun is scum? Why isn't your vote on him yet?

Reading through the game, it appears as though your bush kicking was directed mainly at AAF, but not kicking too hard. Is this so you can appear to be helpful without actually being helpful?

I don't know about Dawg or Ice, it seems like they're trying to get inside FF's head. That's a one way trip to crazy town.

JB makes me wonder too, his vote fell on FF yesterday, and today he's playing devils advocate for him.

as far as FF, He's planted his foot so firmly in his mouth so many times I'm not really sure what to think about his alleged slip.

Now this is interesting. The way this reads to me, and correct me if I am wrong Zaffy, you weren't so sure that FF did slip. We now know that he didn't by the way. However, you were the kill vote on him.

Why is that?

Noodles, while Zaffy's bush kicking hasn't been anything to really root out scum, he has still questioned more than you. You stated that you were nervous about leaving your vote on FF because you thought he would Ud, yet did not move it like you said you would. Why is that?

The only questioning of players that I could find in your posts was to ask why my vote wasn't on FF. Again, why is that?

To tell you the truth Ice, my first thought was "WTF does that mean" maybe the beers had something to do with it.

TBH, this is exactly what my first thought was, and I was stone cold sober.

What I would like to know, from everyone, are their thoughts on those who voted t2o confirmed innocents.

AAF, to be honest, I do believe that it was a fluke that he did that. From what I have seen in the game I believe that he is actually trying to get a grasp and learn to be helpful. I know that I went back and forth with him this morning but, I am hoping it helps him to learn how players view things and question others.

Zaffy, I am not getting all warm and fuzzy about you right now. I have posted my concerns and questions. One final question I have for you is you posted you think Dun is scum but your vote is on AAF. Why?

Noods, not thrilled with your "helpfulness" at this point either.

Dun, I am not sure, I reserve judgment until I see how or what he posts today. I am willing to give the benefit of the doubt for the time being and give him a chance to go through the game with a "clear head".

I'd still like to know why AAF thinks Dun has been protown...what posts give you that feeling? This bothers me more then the fact they both voted together both days close together.

Zaffy still has my interest peeked with his vote night 2 especially after Wiz pulled the post where he wasn't sure about FFs slip.

I'll check into the posts that defended FF on Day 1 and Day 2 after the Giants beat the Packers. DD would be one I'd lean scum that I recall off the top of my head. Its much easier to say its FF when you know he is innocent already.

I've been on and off checking the discussion. But I'm doing other stuff today too.... not game-related. So I'm not going to be here and stay on the thread full-time but I will be here at different times throughout the day/evening.

Reading the exchange posted this morning really looks like AAF was being picked on. AAF is the first to admit he's not a competent player and to see him badgered so hard by advanced players makes me wonder if they're hoping to cause him to screw up. Even if AAF is innocent, it wouldn't take much to make him nervous enough to say the wrong thing. Or even say the right thing in a wrong way. I believe we all know that, don't we?

Those questioning him so hard certainly know this. Therefore, I have to question whether those who've been grilling him are really trying to find truth? Or are they taking advantage of a weak player who is prone to make himself appear scummy enough to draw townie votes?

I also question the wisdom now of focusing so hard on the 3 people who voted Ice.

It's usually true in mafia games that for the first day or two, it's mostly innocents voting off innocents. Then those innocents come under extra scrutiny and get blamed/voted out too. It usually isn't until we look where we weren't looking before that we usually find scum.... after 2 nights or so of voting/lynching innocents. In this game too, the N1 vote tally was almost all joke votes. That makes our N2 voting record more like N1 instead. We probably should not trust our impulse to blame the voters on N2 for voting innocents (FF/Ice) just because that's what appears most prominent to us today. This strategy would be short-sighted.

Thanks to the headline, Ice is confirmed innocent. This would make it advantageous for the scum team to highlight any possible suspicion there could be toward those who voted Ice. Someone with votes enough to almost get lynched would naturally suspect the ones voting him or her. And if those were innocent voters, then it makes sense that the scum would want us looking there... and a good way for scum to try to manipulate Ice's thinking as well.
