So I've put a lot of effort in trying to keep my fish alive......
And it worked!
But now I have a new problem...MY WATER IS GREEN!
I've been doing water changes every week...and one day I actually bought the gravel cleaner from Aqua..something or other...I had some trouble with the thing that attaches to the faucet not fitting (my faucet doesn't have ridges to screw on). I taped it with electrical tape and I finally got it working...but the suction power wasn't strong enough and the gravel didn't get sucked up properly...
AT ANY RATE!! After that, I kinda gave up on the gravel cleaner because it took 4 hours for me to figure it out and I got very frustrated and tired..
After I refilled the tank and put water conditioner in it, the water wasn't too murky looking after it settled down a bit.
However..two days later, the tank turned GREEN. It was very all of a sudden and annoying because I didn't know why this was happening. My mom and I took out all the fish and did a 75% water change to no avail.
Here are pictures of the nasty green water.
I have an algae eater...who doesn't seem to be doing its job for whatever reason..
Anyone know what's going on? What should I do at this point?
