I'm thinking of putting some zoas on this rock, as long as the coral Beauty won't eat them. He was traded in at the lfs because he was eating corals lol
I really like the shape of this rock, I wish I had a few larger "boulder" shaped rock to go with this one. I think it's just Fiji rock?

I had a Flame angel I was lucky he didnt snack on any corals. At the moment I almost wish I did have something that would eat these Starburst polyps that are spreading like a weed. The rock does look to be normal fiji type.
I like my pukani, but placing corals is difficult. I bought 60 lbs of dry rock from a club member on Sunday at our meeting, a couple nice pieces of shelf rock drilled for frag plugs lol, and some More pukani, several very large pieces of it as well.
The guy I bought it from has had two bad outbreaks of bryopsis, and this rock has dead bryopsis on it, it's has sat outside since last fall, so I'm not worried about it coming back, mostly lol.

Might want to give the rock that formerly had bryopsis a muratic acid bath (even then I might not put it in my tank ).

Well, I'm thinking maybe that nice piece of Fiji rock, If I do use the dry ill be curing it first.
Do you think the muriatic acid is necessary or just as a precaution?

I wouldn't mess with bryopsis. Call me paranoid but I would not add a rock (or frag) to my tank that I knew had or has bryopsis. You'll be fighting it off with higher Mg (Kent Tech M) which is pretty much your only option. Once you have it in your system, you'll be fortunate to rid the tank of it completely.
I know the guy I bought the rock from spent a small fortune on that stuff. This rock will only be going in the 180, definitely curing it first.
