hi all, just wondering if anyone could ID this shrimp. I had bought a bunch of blue shrimp at an auction late last year. I thought all of them perished until I saw this guy a few weeks back. Thank you.

I may be wrong, but I think the species it most closely resembles is the Blue Tiger shrimp, caridina cantonensis sp. blue, of a high grade, explaining the all-over dark blue colouration.

A shrimp expert may correct me but at least that gives you a starting point. :)

The "blueberry shrimp" from the babaulti complex is a very small species and the colour doesn't appear to be as dark, but it is a possibility. OP - how long in length is the shrimp in question?

Blueberry are most commonly neocaridina palmata, they look different when tank raised and are not part of the babaulti complex

What do they look like tank-raised? The only neocaridina palmata I have seen are a very pale blue, and quite often they show no blue colouration at all.

Also, what are the blue shrimp from the babaulti complex called? They still don't seem dark enough to be the OP's shrimp.

i couldn't see the video from my mobile device.

Blue babaulti are sold as "black" babaulti. They are a range of colors from grey to grey blue to almost black.
