Mafia 104 - Dawg the Bounty Hunter - The Play

48 hrs. It seems to me that since we haven't got a clue and may be facing 4 scum now 24 hrs does the town no good what so ever.

Zaffy, why didn't you even try to help the town this time around?
Normally I would agree with wanting as much time possible, but as we saw yesterday it doesn't seem like anyone is really into digging anymore. The majority of the posts were either drive by votes or JB/Rb garbage.

We also have to take in to account that 48 hrs allows for the chance, however slim it might be, for the new turn to slip up. That would at least help us to lynch scum as opposed to another innocent.

I think it is time to think outside the box this game. We are running out of innocents at an alarming rate and we need more than ever to get scum next night fall. I do not feel confident tht i can find the scum by tomorrow night.

Can we really afford to be wrong again?

I believe I will be starting to look harder at those wanting a 24 hr game day as generally it is the scum that want to shorten the days because they already know and the town doesn't. Shorter days hurts the town especially when there isn't a lot of posting.

What I find really interesting, is that Dun and JP have been at each other the entire game. Yet shortly after we lynch an innocent Zaffy, they both come out and vote JB. My case on JB hinged on Zaffy flipping scum.

Maybe we had a very elaborate case of distancing going on the entire game.

I can assure you that Dun and I have not been distancing and I feel like an idiot for getting wrapped up with the Zaffy vote and holding off on voting Dun again. As for Dun following me, I have no clue what he is up to. Maybe he felt like it was an opportune moment to jump on JB before it looked scummy?

But at this point they're still both my top suspects, it's just that Jb's behavior since he was called out for his D3 vote has been so unlike him that I can't see him as an innocent. He's abandoned any motivation to dig and help the town at all. His vote on Kash was icing on the cake.

Even without Zaffy flipping scum, do you really not suspect Jb at all?

I agree that scum would probably like 24 hours more so than innocents, but that doesn't mean they would make it known in the thread either.

In an ideal world I would love to have 48 hours of intense case making and discussion that would help flush out scum...but I guess I just have a bad feeling like that isn't going to happen. Very few of the remaining players have made any case for who they suspect and are putting out lists with a few lines and virtually no post-pulling and analysis. That's why I originally said I didn't care.

But when looking at the numbers, we almost absolutely CANNOT be wrong tonight. It's either 6 vs. 3 or 5 vs. 4 now (assuming Bally was innocent)...a bad lynch plus a turn will mean a loss either way. A hit will result in the scum winning if we're at a 5/4 split. There's more leeway if Bally UDed as scum but obviously that would be a risky assumption to make.

Now that I'm looking at the numbers, I'm much more inclined to agree with you...Dawg, change my vote to 48 hours. The town can't mess this up and more time is only a good thing.

Forgot that there should also be a hit still out there from Duane Lee. I feel like that PR team has to have some sort of usable information from Dawg at this point, unless they've been extremely unlucky with picking invests...

At this point I don't know what to think. with the little time I have had to actually look at the game and using my work net book instead of my own computer it has been difficult for me to track anything.

Posting stalled because most players voted Zaffy. It's the first and only majority vote we've had and the direction we'd need to go next depended on the outcome of that particular choice.

Personally, I thought Zaffy's death would turn the game around for us. And it took several attempts from a variety of players to finally find out his role. As it turned out, that was terrible news for us instead of good.

It was also the first day back to a normal work week following a long holiday weekend.
