Archer Fish (Toxotes Blythii)

ALL articles I have read indicate that blythii are true freshwater archers. do not need to be transitioned to salt as they mature.

How ironic that someone with your name should point this out...

Most decent lfs will have a pair or two...I saw 8 in a 50g breeder at an lfs once, but the tank was unfiltered and they all had diseases from hole in head to ich. Ew.

Not blythii, they'll have jaculator, the common Archerfish. Blythii is a very different fish that cost A LOT more here than common Archers.

blythii are super rare and they are true Fresh water archers. don't add salt. Keep the top covered (obviosly) and feed them meaty foods that stay on the surface. they aren't agressive as far as i know, but best kept in a species tank or with fish that fish that wont bother them and won't fit in their mouths
