WOW,been gone for a while

Hey there old timers , good to see you . I still have my 3 tanks , 2 at home 1 at work . I turned my 125 from the fully planted to a no aquascape goldfish tank. I do have my 30 planted and my 72 planted .
So should I stay or should I go? The interest isn't as hot as it used to be but we all know how that goes !
I guess I'll check in once and a while to see if the nothingness continues :)

Well as long as everyone checks in and leaves again we will continue to have a bunch of nothingness!!! Stay!!
 
wow, in a couple of months I will have been here for 2 years. Man has time really flown by. If I remember correctly, early summer was a dead point on ac last year as well.
 
The whole site has been progressively slowing down for a couple yrs now, after they remodeled it started, not to say that was the problem though.

I just don't know what happened.

There has only been 6 threads posted in within the Photo Gallery in the past month, a couple yrs ago you couldn't keep your thread on the first page for more than a few days. :(
 
I used to moderate a forum which was always dead (WWM) and the other moderators always seemed to have a seasonal excuse.

In summer - "Oh, the weather's so nice outside, people are traveling, enjoying their summer vacations..."
In the fall - "The kids are just starting school..."
In winter - "The holidays are coming upon us, people have family visiting..."
In the spring - "People are tending to their yards, doing spring cleaning..."

The truth is, nothing begets nothing, so if there is no new content being generated, this forum will be perpetually devoid of activity. People need to sell stuff, write articles, have discussions, post pictures, etc. We tried generating it ourselves, but it doesn't work without "audience participation" so to speak. I eventually bowed out gracefully, and the few months I was away from this forum I didn't miss it much...I am sorry though, that it has gone so very stagnant!
 
Me too platy! Wher is everybody going? Is there a new site I don't know about? I used to spend hours a day on here sometimes. It fed my disease! Now, I miss it!
 
So, my feeling like there aren't as many interesting posts isn't just me, combined with using the mobile app when I'm on the go? I don't do a lot of stuff on chat, or even GCC, but I felt like there was more activity in more forums 12-18 months ago, than there is now.

I agree with all of that! When I left here it even affected my passion for fish keeping, I still loved my fish but it wasn't as fun without a big family to share it with.

It's not you. I also don't do chat or GCC but with all the other things to talk about it wasn't needed.
