Hi Everybody! :D I was pleasantly surprised to see on the box that the Fluval Spec III (2.6 gallons) came in that the aquarium is fish friendly for barbs, danios, and most importantly GOLDFISH! How many goldfish can I comfortably put in the Fluval Spec III without stressing them too much. I will probably do 50% water changes every other day because I read that goldfish are slightly messier than other aquarium fish.

my honest opinion none. goldfish grow too large for 2.6 gallons of water.

they look like some sort of dwarf rasbora

exclamationpoint rasboras are pretty cute as well and stay tiny a small group could live in your tank

Thanks! I have one male endler's livebearer and will add a few rasboras to the Fluval Spec III. The goal is to also have a carpet of plants like in the picture without CO2 and with the stock LED light.

Glad to hear you scrapped the goldfish plan. 2.6g is very tiny. Way too small for any goldfish given Comets are intended for ponds and fancy/fantail need 20g for one fish.

IMO, one endler and a group of rasboras is still too much for under 3gal.
