Calling out folks who build stands! I'm planning to purchase a Mr. Aqua 730 aquarium which is a 12 gallon long essentially the form factor 1/4 of a 50/48 gallon. It's 35.4 x 8.3 x 9.4H. I'm planning to build a shelf like stand that can hold 2 to 4 of these tanks.
My question is, are 2" x 2" 's appropriate for a build like this? I'm planning to have those as the main frame structure, with the tanks placed on top of a 0.5 inch plywood. Think it's wise to stank 4 tanks in a fairly narrow shelf alongside a wall?
I'm still working on some drawings, which I could post to better illustrate the build.
Thanks
