I had a tank years ago and was pretty active here, but had to break it down while I was away at school. Now that I'm back home I decided to set it up again. Two Eheim 2215's for filtration, a 9watt UV sterilizer, 250watt heater, 2x39w 6700k T5's and 1x10,000k T5 on a 10hr cycle, with nutrients, 45lbs of seachem flourite, and a bubbler.

It's still a bit cloudy from the substrate... it's only on day 2.

Cheers!
Jake

P.S., I've also become quite the avid photographer, so expect lots of pictures!

After the cycle, how are you going to stock it? Pictures are always good!

I had thought about the following:
a pair of angels
kuhli loaches
cory cats
larger tetras (I had black phantoms)
maybe a small pleco
fire eel.

Sounds good. I'm not a big fan of bubblers, I don't think you really need it either. I think all those bubbles distracts the eyes from the beauty of the fish and plants.

But your HOB's aerate the water, while my canisters don't. So I need some O2 input from some source.

Cheers!

Very nice tank, and welcome back to the hobby! :D

O.25 is high, you might want to do daily large WCs. I'd get that down to 0.05
