Gilbert finally learned a trick!

I'v been working on training Gilbert, my crown tail, to flare on command... after about three days, he got it.
How many of you enjoy betta training?

This is him: though not flaring (obvs), since I can't seem to hold a camera & the stick in the water at the same time. And he is not into staying still in places with decent light. Actually, is there a trick (beyond just being patient) to getting good pics of fish?

Lots of light, and good placement of that light. Think portrait studio levels of light, and yes lots of patience.
