If you enlarge the photo this fish has two wounds one just above and in front of the spot and one more just below the dorsal

If you view it normally they appear to be lighter than the rest of the fish.

And it's missing part of the tail fin

cyberbeer, what other fish are in with it? Water changes, big & often, can help it heal well, but maybe it already is healing? How long have you had it? It's "damage" may be from before you got it...
