Suggestions for plant light for 8" opening

For small tanks, i dose Excel at 2 drops per gallon using a 3 ml pipette. Works well for me.

Amanos do not eat healthy plants, they only eat dying plant materials and biofilm, unless they are REALLY starving. But you said you feed a lot of brine shrimp, do you feed any plant/veg based foods?

Remember how I said don't change more than one thing at a time also? Removing your algae eaters is another change. I wouldn't be surprised if you start seeing algae now. But time will tell. Good luck finding your balance, it is a tricky thing but just keep trying.

Thanks! That's a brilliant idea. When I abandoned the measuring by using the cap threads, I noticed I couldn't measure accurately. So I was probably over dosing. I'll try the your idea. Thanks again.

No vegetable food, except for the plants they were eating. Unsure, if these shrimp were normal. Earlier this year, one of the shrimp couldn't molt off it's shell near it's head. It kept spinning around, until the shell finally came off. But it's head was bent at almost a 45 degree angle. Within a few minutes, two of the bigger shrimp were attacking it trying to eat it alive. One managed to grab it's head and started eating it. So I took out the mortally wounded shrimp and euthanized it. But I've never seen anything like that before. These shrimp were vicious.

Thanks a bunch for your help. I'll keep an eye on the algae. Many thanks and best wishes!
