Zit on my silver dollar

Around 2-3 weeks ago my silver dollar developed a bump on its side and it continuously got bigger until it started to get red(looked like blood underneath). After a while of being like this it turned black and a white spot started to appear like a zit and tonight it popped. Any ideas on what it is?

Hard to say. Could be a parasite or some type of irritation.

Any new adds to the tank that could have brought something in?

No, it happened all of a sudden and I’m having the sinking feeling the white stuff after the pop is his flesh which isn’t good even tho he’s acting completely normal

I'd keep very low nitrates (lots of water changes) and maybe elevate the water temp to see if that speeds healing.
